Nelson Free exp price speculation

i will use Nelson Leaked stats(stock and researcheable modules)

nelson B hull=24,000

FCS mod 2=12,000

propulsion=8,000

total=44,000(if you convert all the credits to doubloon then to free exp,the difference is not much,46,650)

 

now taking the nelson "leaked" purchase price= 6,700,000

we will convert it to doubloon then to free exp=111.650(25 free exp per doubloon) or 156.310

total=155650

if we follow the same method used by the guy here

so in the end i could speculate that nelson free exp price might be around 155k-200k or 6226-7000.

but i didn't calculate the prem ship ratio to tech tree ship,only the credit part.

sadly i'm not good enough at math to find a ratio of rodney(not available yet) and nelson.

so i will consider nelson as a tier7 BB with the same ratio as gnei and scharn=266 950 XP

in the end the total free exp cost might be around 400k-500k or a little less like most people here speculated.

 

someone might correct my math here anytime,i will update it.

well on simple terms..  Missouri was a T9 BB costing 750k  so without the fancy math..  I would estimate 650to 700k for T8 and 575 - 625k for T7 allowing for progression downwards that could also include all tiers below that if they wanted to do lower tiers as FXP.

Anything less than 575k and I'll be a very happy bunny but in round figures, I'll guess 600k.

and the guy i linked explained WHY missouri had 750k free exp.

the fancy "match" is a way i could find to speculate about nelson free exp price.

it's still a lot of money that i don't think i will get for now,real life comes first.

Here's my theory: Missouri is a t9 at 750k, or 83,333 free XP per tier. So a free XP usn t7 would be 583,333 free XP, and you run that through the current exchange rate, you get 764,167 free XP for the Nelson.

My thoughts as well.  I only have 500k free xp so still 250k away from Missouri.  No way I'm going to spend more than 300k for a tier 7.

If.

Sub_Octavian mentioned how it wouldn't be cheap (money) or easy to get (in term of free XP or task difficulty). Therefore, I'd go with people speculating around 500k free XP.

Why the choice of Nelson over Rodney though? Rodney is more storied (Nelson spent most of the war bumping into mines or torpedoes). Rodney is not the class leader either.

So far most premiums have not been class leaders - Scharn, Belfast, Alabama, Missou, Mutsu etc. While class leaders have usually been tree - Gneis, Edinburgh, Iowa, Nagato.

The class leaders as premiums (Sims, Atlanta) have been either outliers which don't fit the tree or one of several classes at about that tier.

 

I don't understand why WG is trying to milk the RN BB line so hard. Sure, it's absolutely A-OK to have some premiums - heck choice is great - but this many AND locking up as many iconic ships as possible behind the paywall?

• Warspite - sensible premium, second ship, different refit to class leader, incredible story = ok
• Hood - good T7 BC fit, somewhat odd ship, super famous, WG needs to eat = ok but grumpy
• Dreadnought - presumed premium, first RN BB gave her name to the type of ship = pretty money grubbing
• Nelson, first in class(!), sensible T7 line ship = money grubbing

 

WG had originally planned to give Nelson out in the branch (and therefore make only what they make from putting branches out) by putting KGV at T7 and using copy/paste for 'Monarch' they've generated themselves a free and iconic premium ship at minimum effort, but this is somewhat like copy/pasting Gneis as a T8 and keeping Biz/Tirpz both as premiums.

I seem to remember speculation on the price of the MO to be way under.  So take the reasonable, logical price and add an extra 200k.

You're assuming linear cost scaling.

 

Scaling is anything but.

 

T8>9 costs about as much exp as T1-6

 

250-300k sounds much more reasonable, especially since the doubloons to convert that is roughly ~$40, or the same price as a T7 premium BB.

My ship xp, (available for conversion,) is approximately 7.2 million.

 

I've played a lot of games, haven't purchased many high-mid or upper-tier ships, used lots of fxp bonus items, and until spring of last year, when I suddenly said to myself "WHAT THE FLIP ARE YOU DOING?!? STOP THAT!!!" was converting all my ship xp to fxp.

 

So basically, 4.5 mil fxp is what has accumulated starting last spring, minus Missouri and several other (in hindsight utterly stupid,) fxp's I did when I was converting everything before, (to Des Moines, and Fletcher.)
