I was in my Alabama, there was a Sims on our team. A sims, who I might add, thought it a good idea to sit stationary without using smoke. Probably a WoT player, believing sitting stationary made him more accurate. At one point, dodging enemy fire, I nudge his stationary sims, he starts exploding at me in chat. A few minutes later, I get a torpedo warning from behind me - I check, and I see his torpedo spread heading right at me. Fortunately, all missed - I didn't even have to dodge. He sails past me and throws another set at me, again I dodge it. I know 100% sure that they were aimed at me, because there was nothing red in that general direction, and I figure that even someone like this is smart enough to know torpedoes don't go through islands.

He starts screaming at me in chat, I just put him on ignore. He ends the match ahead only of our AFK ship.

Turns out that this guy has 15 battles played in coop and 3 in random.

Look, I believe in a free market and I have no problem with WG selling premiums to people without experience, but it does lead to moments like this.

In the end, I had a good chuckle.

May as well push him right over the edge. as long as he lacks the self control anyway....

Thought about it. Would've required maneuvering into his torpedoes on purpose. Glad I didn't do it, I needed my hitpoints for the enemy.

I ran into a Tirpitz driver with only 13 battles total. All in Tirpitz. I brawled him in my Bismarck and nearly sunk him (Points won the game). He was only firing HE.

But he was in Bama, that torpedo reduction would have made the Sims's torps meaningless.

Lol, love the story Lert... sounds pretty typical lately.  I had a match today in Algérie that started bad right off the bat... typical collapse and lack of comms.  After the 3rd death in the first few minutes I somewhat jokingly said "stop dying"...  that comment resulted in a rude reply about from an Arizona captain about "hanging back and not doing anything to protect him".... nevermind that I was holding the west flank with another cruiser (wish I knew his name cuz he deserved props).  I had 2 of our 4 kills and he kept [edited]... I got a little salty in return as we were almost finished (nothing mean like others I see)...  he continues going on about how he "knows which ships to target first"... yada yada yada.  

 

The match ends, so I decide to check his stats for nothing more than my own curiosity..  well, lets just say that he doesnt have much room for talk... lots of red and burnt orange in those stats...  

 

Of course, thats how today has gone in general.

 

Just gotta keep calm and carry on.  Good times.
