So yesterday i was having a great day in my Montana and had a game with 189k and 7 kills followed up by a game with a Kraken and 253k.

But my next two games where not as good  as the teams just evaporated before the halfway mark.

My issue is in the two bad games to many players decided that it was the Monty's fault of course and that i needed stop playing the Montana that i sucked etc etc.

If most of these players put half as much effort into playing a good game as they do preaching about how much everyone sucks then i might could have carried them through a whole match.

I actually got drilled about only having a 56% WR in my Montana......  Last time i checked ship comrade with players who have a minimum of 200 battles in the Montana my 56% placed me 30th on NA

Stuff like this usually does not bother me it is just a game of course.  I just wish that more adults and kids would learn that it is better sometimes if you having nothing good to say or honestly do not have a clue  to just say nothing at all and stop being distracting to those who give a damn.

Also this is not just random solo players, it is clan members and divisions  who hurt the teams more than helping them.  Some of the more established clans that we all know, make you wonder why they allowed such trash to be in their clan when their page specifically says we accept quality players with positive attitudes.

Any way that is my complaint for this month,  I guess i just need a break  :(

Maybe they are just jealous of your 1337 skillz

block + ignore = peace of mind

focus on what you can control, the rest is just white noise.

Last night in ranked I played a game in my Farra where the team asked me to smoke the fuso that had ran aground trailing the fleet, and then was crying because I was not out in from spotting for them. Sorry a DD is fast but still can only be in one place at the same time.

Sometimes I feel like players have the impression that my DD warps around the map.

Don't even get me started on the Gearing which is painfully slow.

Yup, everyone knows all except for you. It's funny how that works out.

I've been hollered at twice in ranked. Both of those times I was #1 and won the battle for my team.

Fuk um

Ignore chat.  While back I had someone decide I wasn't playing my Atago to their liking.  Stupid move on my part in the beginning, got me 30% of my health knocked out.  Apparently any mistake means you're trash and can't do anything right.  Last I checked though I don't do horribly in the Atago.  Crap happens sometimes, just ignor'em and move on.

Last night I was the last ship alive on my team and was getting chat noise about not being aggressive enough (apparently being alive meant I was not trying hard enough).  I finished second on my team scoring and lost two karma points at the end of the match.  I don't even know what to say about that kind of mentality.

But. But I do know all. :Smile_sad:

I'm kidding, I don't like it when I am called out for doing something wrong in a mean way. Saying it nicely is a different matter. I know I am not the best player and want to improve, and I will accept constructive criticism. But biting and harsh words make me ill inclined to listen to your words.

Funny how that always seems to work out that way...you are the last one alive, you have the most kills, the most damage...yet it is your fault that you are losing the match.  The dead should not be allowed to speak.

I pay just enough attention to chat to notice if something tactical is said. Other than that, it blows right past me, I have no idea what's being said, and I much prefer it that way.

It is a directly proportional relationship.  The more a player sucks, the louder they will accuse others of sucking, and the blinder they will be to their own culpability.

Gunstar, I appreciate where you're coming from.

I have only one gripe.  I really hate it when people say "if you have nothing good to say, say nothing".  That is something I will never ever do.  This is Pollyanna-ish at its worst.  And Pollyannas can be just as bad as Negative Nellies.

I thought a Pollyanna would say "good job" when it was actually poor/bad...

This is pretty much what I try to do though that is harder to do in ranked... glad I don' t have a temper/get offended easily. Some of the people who go off in chat need to seek professional help.

There's some lamers who don't like a particular ship and think that anyone who plays it sucketh. In a ranked battle a few days ago, a "teammate" typed; "A Dunk, (Dunkerque, me) a wasted team slot." We won and I placed #1 on the team with 2 ships sunk including a High Caliber achievement. He obviously knows nothing about the Dunk or doesn't like it. My outlook is that if you aint got something constructive to say, put a lid on it.

Backseat drivers who are usually the first ones to get wasted by doing something stoopid and have the gall to give advice to others. When I get deleted I watch the battle and generally keep my mouth shut.

I had something similar happen to me, however with me being VERY new I just took it in stride, told the guy "what do you expect, I'm new to this" and yet I still outperformed him LOL, he shut up really quick.

There is a difference between offering comment on someone's gameplay while it still can make a difference (ie.  they're still alive) and being a mouthy jackweed.

As I have asked many times and never yet received a satisfactory answer... name one time when acting like a complete jerk lead to a positive outcome.

Player remaining after I got deleted complained about dead boats talking.  I haven't offered a comment in chat since.

The match that got me to Rank 11 included complaints about how I was driving my Farragut.  Apparently I was supposed to push into a cap with 2 BBs, a Cleveland and a Graf Spee.  I eventually burned down the BBs and ran the Spee off the cap which I then took.  Finished #1 on that team.  Next loss was my last match in Ranked this season.  Just not worth the effort to get more.

I think you're onto something, are they:

  • Ghost Admiral's
  • Port Seat Drivers
  • Davey Jones ................I got nothing.

I can only remember being whined at a couple of times.  First time was a guy telling me to go to the worst cap on Neighbors and insisted he knew what he was talking about because he had a CBT flag on his ship.  Upon investigation post-match, he had lots of matches and nothing in his stats to imply he'd learned anything since his time in the beta, and the match went exactly how I told him it would go if he and his div (all the top tier ships) went to that cap.  The second time was someone expecting me to be able to make my battleship teleport around the map.

I do agree that the dead shouldn't speak.

I say that even though I give good tactical information and praise the team to try and keep moral up on average in ranked.

Tactical info includes giving possible positions where torps just came from. If there's only 1 DD left, then everyone not in the area can breathe easier and pay more attention to whatever they're doing. I'll also throw out which ships are the lowest in health.

Keep in mind, I don't tell anyone to do anything, I just give them tactical info that they've prolly missed. I tend to do similar even when I'm still afloat. RPF locations, things I see that will prolly happen, etc..

Positivity helps when someone throws out a good torp spread, or knocks out an important target. "Good job team", "y'all can do it", "nice torps Fub", "good torp beats war", etc..

Still, I'm a different beast than most, and it's not worth hearing from the dead in 99.98% of the time.
