Elite Commander XP

Hey all,

 

  I just noticed it says "Elite Commander XP: 40000" in my bottom left-hand corner.

 

Anyone know what this is?  Is it like free XP for commanders?

Yes, Free XP for commanders. You earn this when you play 19 skill commanders.

Yes. You can spend free commander exp to do things like speed up retraining, respec without gold, or just add exp for more levels. Normal free exp can also be used and it will be used after you run out of commander exp.

 

Only reliable way to get free commander exp is to have a 19 point captain and continue playing him. Commander exp he gets is free commander exp.

There was a recent event where you were awarded some for completing the tasks/missions, so you probably received it for doing so, without realize you had.

 

What it's used for is as posted above.

Just be careful when using it as if you go over your balance it will automatically top up the difference with elite ship XP which is a lot harder to accrue.
