So I was gawking at my Enterprise when I noticed that the light on the top of the building and it seemed to be sending out a message in morse code.

Has this been seen before? Has it been decoded?

Picture For reference

Seen before, but perhaps still being decoded.

I may or may not be spending my time right now to decode it, I have some of it, not sure yet its not a long code.

Edit: Beware Wake makes sense

That's what it was translated to a few months ago, too. This is a signal that's been in the navy base since it was added.

I am gonna speculate that right now it isn't really doing anything however eventually they will add a morse code message to the light to see if anyone notices.

So I just discovered this little Easter egg in the Premium port today.  I decided to try to translate it on my own before coming here to the forums looking for the answer.

This is what I see from the blinking light:

-....--.-.-...-.-.-

The last signal is a bit confusing for me personally, as it occurs as the light is "powering down" it seems.  It could easily be a dot, in which case my guess would be totally off.

I plugged the signals into an online Morse code translator and messed around with the breaks between the letters.  For those who can see the distinct pauses between these signals that distinguish the letters, I salute you - your eyesight must be better than mine.

Anyway, here's how I broke it down (again, assuming the last signal is a dash instead of a dot):

-../..-/-./-.-/../.-./-.-

D/U/N/K/I/R/K

Hmm.  Dunkirk.  Well, that would make some sense at least.  I don't know how long the signal has been in the port like that.  Maybe it was some sort of secret word tipping us off to the movie event or something.

Excitedly, I searched the forums to see if anyone else had discovered this (many have).  The commonly accepted answer seems to be BEWAREWAKE.  I question this, though, because I'm only able to count four dots between the two dashes in the beginning.  B/E/W would require something like this: -..././.--

I'm certainly no expert in Morse code, but I think this answer makes the most sense.  Just my opinion, though.

What does everyone think?

-....-.-.-...-.-.- Where the brakes are I have no idea as I am not an expert myself either. I just noticed it tonight but it is some kind of code
