4 [FLAWD] KnifexLight Members 12 posts 11,321 battles Report post #1 Posted July 4, 2017 Huh.... I am just putting this out here. Played 4 ranked battles consecutively today with AFKs in every match. These AFKs were the same people joining over again. I am unsure if they are doing it intentionally and hoping to get carried up ranks. I end up being top scoring for the four matches and did not lose any stars however it was aggravating. I understand some people have internet or computer issues when loading into the game and that causes players to disconnect. I did read in a post before that someone suggested implementing bots in ranked battle when this does occur. Or some other solution which makes the matches much more balanced. Just FYI, I had a match with 3 AFKs in one match, that was ridiculous. Also these AFKs were in queue constantly after each battle because they kept showing up; meaning they were the same people. I would reported them via the in game report, however I doubt that does anything but decrease karma. Has anyone been having matches with AFKs constantly showing up? This, you have to actually look, no smoke and turrets are straight, not loaded, turrets are pointed to a side, that, is an afk. Hell, my Bismarck late loaded a little bit ago after loading 11 seconds early in scharn. And it's not even a "hur hur wireless" issue because I'm in a room that let's me plug an ethernet cord straight into my laptop, where for the last week I have played ff14 on the EU servers, no issue, and formerly on my 360 played Battlefield four on the servers for JAPAN with no issue, and I'm the US East coast meaning that's something like 6000 miles away. So it is definitely not my internet. It's like occasionally, it's connecting to a server in the US, and the next match it's connecting to a server, under the antarctic, that was damaged by an earthquake, and is run by 3 potatoes and a rat on a wheel. The rat may or may not have died of hypothermia though.

How on earth do you know if they were in fact AFK? I have to wonder whether you even now AFK means precisely. Here's a hint WG code and systems are far from lawless and neither are ISPs and a whole host of other technical variables. Case in point being ranked players have been getting bumped out exactly when the they are queuing into battles.

Been using my DD and in one match, our CV was afk. This was terrible because the enemy carrier just parked planes on me since he owned the sky, I stayed spotted the entire match, running from cruisers and avoiding fire. Firing torps on the run didn't work because they were spotted by the planes the second I launched. I eventually was pecked to death, you can only avoid so many shells. One of the few times I have used the report function for afk player.

Sorry to hear that, @KnifexLight this is something we are currently looking into. If you find examples of this, be sure to screenshot it and make a note of repeat offenders. Often, if it is an internet issue, the user will only have this issue once in a while, not consistently. We do appreciate that you brought this to our attention.
