Try them all, see which ones feels right to you, then stick with it.  I make the Warspite work well and wasn't the biggest fan of the Arizona, but a lot of people are having good results with the Arizona.

The only one I have not tried in Ranked is the Bayern - do not have that ship.  Tried the others and have had the most success with the Arizona.  Posted about this yesterday -

Arizona and Warspite seem to be the dominant choices. Bayern struggles due to its need to engage at close quarters to be effective, although I have seen two players camp very effectively in their Bayerns - they picked a single target (myself, in one case) and bow tanked in reverse, keeping their bow dead on to the target. BBs other than the Warspite will struggle to get good damage against a bow tanking Bayern, although the penalty is that the Bayern surrenders maneuverability and the initiative by using that tactic, as well as making themselves very vulnerable to being flanked by torpedoes. I made rank 10 using mostly my Arizona in two days (plus Farragut as a backup whenever  my AZ was sunk and I was waiting at Port), and the only BBs that really concerned me were Warspites and other Arizonas. NM can be safely kited by an AZ, since the AZ has basically the same guns but with much better accuracy at range, and while the Fuso is decent, it tends to force its players to turn broadside to make effective use of its guns, which is a death sentence when an AZ is prowling at 13km (Concealment Expert gets you down to 12km detection in AZ).

Yeah. Not fun in a stock Fuso. But I manage to give the enemy a hurting.

Plus, it is my only tier 6 ship.

Can you guess what ship I'll be playing?

Four wins, and I'm from rank 16 to 14.

Warspite the turret traverse speed is just ghastly slower than Arizona

The only way the Warspite loses on turret traverse to the AZ now is if you have Seagal in your Arizona (I don't have him).  I stuck my Montana captain in my AZ and have a 48.6s turret traverse vs 45 in the Warspite.

Been Using Fusō with good results. Arizona a couple times as well. All the tier VI BB's are actually pretty well balanced against each other though.

I personally am fond of the Fusō anyway, so an opportunity to play her in a fixed MM environment is to good to pass up.

I mostly play cruisers and I fear the fuso... very good guns and accurate at range.   The others I can dodge and kite.  I play mostly budyyonny and molotov.  The meta is BB heavy....I thought the molotov would be too squishy but the guns are lasers and it doesn't matter if you are shot at by BB.  I play my AZ and find it slow but very tanks and tanks is what you need.  Mutsu always does some damage with its large guns and has torps for close up...  Warspite is jack of all trades and has healing perk.   Play your preference.

Fear the Fuso who can send 1/2 of your HP to the grave but not the one who cannot hit. Anywasy if you need tips against the Fuso, use your speed and vary it. Turn after the Fuso fires, you will dodge it.

Smart Fuso player will hold the button to let first three turrets fire, and wait a moment to see where you are turning.  That's where next three turrets will send their load.  Naturally when you hold the button you can also correct where each turret fires on the go...

I know. But then again. From what I seen, it is a one in a thousandth of a chance.

The range and overmatch potential of the Mutsu actually makes it a compelling option for ranked. A lot of ranked BB players seem to rely heavily on bow-tanking and angling. The Mutsu breaks that up nicely, though don't try to use it on the front lines or you'll get shot to pieces.

Warspite feels best, because best guns.

Yup. I usually ripple fire against cruisers.

I prefer Fuso because of its tremendous range... putting damage on everyone before they can put damage on you is very useful. The downside is you are always spotted and focused, taking stray cits at impossible angles, and good damage management is a necessity. The upside is 12 shells every 28 seconds. Nothing can beat having guns ready when you need them.

Honestly, with MM not f--king Tier VI ships over in Ranked like they do in Randoms, all those Tier VI BBs are excellent.  That said, of the Premiums, AZ and Warspite are easily getting leaned on for heavy use.  Dunkeke and Mutsu are maybe seeing only 10% the action those 2 are.

Of interest, Warspite & AZ can face tank 356mm AP with aplomb.

Mostly Bayern and Arizona for me so far. Mutsu is far too squishy and despite the supposedly amazing accuracy of Japanese guns they're pretty crap. Also depends on where your captains are. I don't have a high point IJN BB captain and I don't have the Fuso unlocked, nor do I own a Warspite so, YMMV. I just got the Arizona like 2 days ago don't have a high point captain for her either but it does alright.

You don't really need a captain for BBs, I'm playing Fusou with only a rank 6 captain. Arizona and Warspite are way better than most of the other BBs imo. Really, what did we expect from premiums? Not that New Mexico and Fusou are not viable. With Fusou in particular the guns have such poor performance you're probably going to find yourself switching to HE a lot against good players, but with good positioning you can still perform . Bayern is a tank but her guns are straight up ignorable. Warspite is similar but much better in that her guns are the best. Don't play Mutsu unless you want my Fusou to open you up like a tin can.

Don't have Warspite or Mutsu so can't comment there, but have played Arizona, Bayern and Fuso in Ranked this season. Have definitely had my best luck in Arizona (which is one of my favorite ships anyway). I like my Fuso a lot too,, but she just seems to get wrecked a lot in these games. Bayern has only come out twice, for one win and one loss, so that's a wash. Arizona's main problem is her speed (US standard BB, hello) - I came up against a bows-on Dunkerque that I couldn't outrun and couldn't pen, and that was just a pain in the rear.

I am GREATLY enjoying the T6 vsT6 MM in Ranked, though.... these ships are SO much fun playing against others in their tier and not having to struggle against T8s! :Smile_honoring:

Agreed. My AZ is my most played ship.
