Will Nelson be a heavy HE spammer?

Seeing how she has a 47% fire chance on her HE shells, will she be more HE-based than the other Tier 7 battleships and battleships in general? I mean, 16" AP with that fire chance, 10k+ salvos on BB superstructures and getting a fire or two almost every salvo.

HE is already a very strong option for most battleships, people just don't realize it. I don't expect British bbs to bring this out all that much because the effort of foresight needed to determine a shell switch doesn't seem to be the most common trait, players will tend toward all HE or all AP in their battleships.

the T10 will be more of a HE spammer, what with a 63% fire chance, but then again, its still a WiP so that may change

Back in supertest phase GK used to have 50%+ fire chance per shell on the 406.

What we will finally get is all up to WG's fantasy Minsk bureau of ship building.

it can, The Arkansas Beta can do a lot of fire damage with her high chance of fire rating. though nothing beats a well placed AP salvo!:cap_look:

I'm not sure I agree, for the following reasons. The RN BB's get German HE pen, that is, 1/4 vs 1/6. With the fire starter percentages you are quoting (and I am not disagreeing because tiers 3 and 4 have high percentages also) it would be nothing to lose 3% to pick up 10 or 11 (or more) mm of HE pen using IFHE. The RN BB's could be very real flamethrowers while still doing significant levels of damage to opposing BB's and CA's. The shell switch skill is one point, and with the low HP of RN BB's, this could also be a good option.

With all the bow camping, I find myself switching to HE a bit. If you know your AP won't pen, why bother? May as well force DCP and help your teammates chip in.

Ditto. I also fire a few salvos of HE at extreme range at the beginning of the match. Getting a BB to burn a repair can be important when the cruisers open fire. If the BB doesn't repair, it burns. Either way that is good. If it repairs I sometimes hit it again, leaving it with a fire or two.

Been firing a lot more HE. I noticed in Montana a salvo of HE hits can easily do 10K damage and leave at least one fire. Devastating.
