Only day 3 of ranked and already the stress and rage is starting to show.  I've seen a lot of salt, excuses, and teammate blaming before, hell I am absolutely guilty of it too, but this one took the cake.  The match was on The Straight, and our team was on the south going for C.  I'm in my Leander Sailing straight to the cap.  With my 8.8km concealment, I don't need to worry about being spotted.  But this potato in his 13km concealment French trash that shouldn't be brought to ranked to begin with, is sailing right behind me making a run for the cap so he gets his points too.  Obviously he gets detected and focused by their entire team.  Did he turn back to angle so they wouldn't have a perfect broadside to shoot at?  Nope, he keeps going straight, barely wiggling to try to avoid shots. Getting in those cap points was worth risking his ship.  Well of course their Leander and BBs delete him, not even 2 minutes into the match.  But the rage and absurd reasoning in the chat that followed astounded me.  According to him, it was MY fault he died.  Yes, because I was ahead of him, I supposedly was "tailing back and forth" infront of him so he couldn't maneuver because I wanted to "outrun him to the cap."  I explained that I had been sailing perfectly straight and hadn't touched my rudder the entire time because I'm in a Leander and wasn't even detected, as opposed to him in his baguette launcher that's easily spotted from the other side of the map.  Nope, he insisted that I was cutting infront of him.  We barely lost that match.  If we hadn't been handicapped at the start of the match 6 vs 7, it would have been an easy win.  But again, this was my fault.  lol oh well, sorry team for throwing the game.

I don't know what's going on in ranked. If it wasn't for my current level being irrevocable, I'd be in the 20s (starting from 15). 

I've been playing so badly in my favorite two BBs, that I switched to the Fubuki today. Training Captain (14 point, but still training up in the Fubuki). Twice, I get two kills, one (or two) caps, and defend our caps. We lose both matches. 

Twice I've been killed almost without firing a shot. Like, I entered the cap within the first 90 seconds of the game and boom, I'm dead. Guess what... yeah, we won both of those matches. What. The. Heck.

Apparently, in spite of doing the most damage and getting the caps, I'm actually so detrimental to our team that my best possible play is to die. 

Massively depressed over this.

Learn how to control your anger. If you get worked up over such as insignificant thing as a videogame then I'd hate to meet you out on the road. Be happy when you advance and if your teammates suck, well "them's the breaks." Remember too that if you are the least sucky player on a sucky team then you won't lose a star. I kept a star yesterday with only 500 credits.

Yes.  Getting team killed by a cruiser who was mad you were smoking a crippled bb while you should have been spotting for him since he had smoked his 100% self.

So I go to play a match, and there are CVs in it. Which I pretty much just consider a loss, since CVs are a "god class" that themselves determine who will win or lose in an otherwise team-based game.

 

Anyway, turns out our CV is stock. People start complaining in chat about it. Not me, though. Since I already consider the match a loss. To make matters worse, the CV heads off in the opposite direction as the rest of the fleet. People spam marking the map and other stuff because they're mad at our CV.

 

Fortunately, since I've already written the match off, I just don't care. I see the CVs planes coming towards me, and I say screw it and just hit speed boost in my Hatsu. He does a cross drop, but because I'm going at ridiculous speeds, my ship drifts within fuse range of each set of torps and I'm not sunk. We spot an enemy Shino and I'm just sour and angry about the whole crappy CV meta, so instead of turning out like I should, I turn and open up on him with my hatsu guns. He fumbles around trying to shoot back, eats one of my slow moving torps, and dies.

 

Still angry, I drop my second set of slow-moving torps at the enemy BBs, then turn and head to the other cap, expecting to die at any time. I run into a second Shino at the second cap, and we're both at half health. Again, I'm just looking to punch someone in the mouth before I die, so I turn into him as well and open fire. At the same time, one of my torps hits an enemy BB. Somehow, I outgun the shino and kill him, then cap the second cap.

 

Sadly, my teammates are still going on and on about how bad our CV player is and start getting killed off themselves. First one out is our Fuso, who then proceed to complain non-stop in chat. He even says, "If we some how win this, the bad thing is that our CV will think it's because he's good."

 

I head back to the second cap which is being capped by an enemy Warspite and Fuso. I take some wild-[edited] random guesses with my glacial torps and turn in between the middle islands, where I spot the enemy CV 10k away. Sadly, my guns have a range of 9.4k and the CV moves his planes in my direction. Somehow, the enemy Fuso meanders a path that takes him into my snail torps and dies. Meanwhile, my teammates continue to yell and besmirch our CV.

 

Their CV drops on me, and there's no avoiding the torps, and I get knocked out with 65k damage, 2 caps, and 3 kills. Our Fuso, who was the first one out, helpfully says, "Idiot Hatsu" right about the time our stock CV somehow kills the enemy warspite. Our last DD dies, leaving only our CV left versus the enemy Fuso and CV. We're up on cap points with 5 mins left. We own one cap, and are at 900 points. Instead of driving into our cap and winning the game, the enemy Fuso decides to chase our CV, and we win out on points.

Fight like heck, score massive creds and xp, team loses...

 

Wrong place at the wrong time, do nothing, very little, or die heinously and very early... Team wins... HUH???

they need to add a captcha for ranked play.  there's no excuse for AFK or bot players to mess it up for a whole team.

What league are people seeing AFKs?  I'm rank 9 and haven't seen it once yet this season, or in the league before 10.

I've played maybe 8 games. ( I don't play when something else at home which may occupy my time) 3 of the games have had afk's. (2) on my teams, (1) on the opposing. Regardless of any excuses a player may have, WG should fix the AFK PLAYERS......................ESPECIALLY DURING THE GAMES SPECIAL EVENTS.

lol the guy from my original post, after the match I messaged him and said "Just as I thought, you're a potato with below average damage and barely a 50% winrate."

That set him off!
