Next Free XP Premium Ship Suggestions

So it has been a little while since WG graced us with the task of earning 750,000 free XP to unlock the Missouri. For those of you who want them to do it again, what class would you like it at and what tier would you want it to be at. I personally would like to see the Japanese battleship Musashi done next if it isn't released as a buy it premium.

HMCS Haida. A Canadian Tribal class DD! In late WW II configuration with three 4.7 twins, a 4-inch twin, quad 40-mm AA pom-pom and Oerlikon 20-mm AA guns.

A cruiser or Destroyer would be a better option honestly, and one of another nation other than the USN.

• T10 1943, 1944, or Hybrid Musashi
  • 1943 Musashi with 15km secondary ranges fully spec'd; offsetting the lack of AA and DP secondaries
  • 1944 Musashi being Yamato w/ slightly less AA, but having Radar
  • Hybrid Musashi being Yamato w/ the wing 155s retained but still having the additional AA mounts and most of the DP mounts
  • ALL versions require OWNING Yamato in order to purchase for FXP

 

• T9 1955 Jean Bart (Maybe renamed to a sister ship instead)
  • 12km secondaries fully spec'd rather than 10km, and 28s RoF instead of 32-35 as historical.
  • Basically unnerfed version of a T8 Jean Bart, or the post-war version of Jean Bart; pending WG's handling of Jean Bart at T8.

 

• T9 Buffalo
  • Assuming she isn't made a T9 in a regular USN cruiser line split; being a slightly better Baltimore with 12x instead of 9x the guns, and a single pair of triple or quadruple tube torpedoes.

 

• T9 Sovetskaya Rossiya
  • Could be a near-clone of her T9 counterpart Sovetsky Soyuz; just with Radar instead of Catapult aircraft.
  • Basically the VMF counterpart to Missouri, the way Sovetsky Soyuz will be the VMF counterpart to Iowa.

 

• T10 Modernized L3 1920s Design RN Battleship
  • Uses the light 18" shells and downgrades traverse to 60s in exchange for having 9x 357mm guns, additional long-range AA mounts (in the form of extra DP mounts), and retaining similar buffed rudder shift over tier rivals.
  • Requires OWNING Conqueror.

HMCS Haida is one that seems to be a favorite for a lot of people. I'm american so I don't really know much about it other than the wikipedia page I've read. I would like Shinano too. A yamato class BB turned CV, plus I read that the japanese navy thought about equipping her with kamikaze jets as one of her squadrons. I'd like to see kamikazes implemented if they could do it in game.

Kamikazes never flew off of carriers.  Never.

I'd love to see the Baltimore class USS Pittsburgh.  She didn't really do anything special, but she took my Grandfather to the western Pacific and brought him home again.  I'd love to sail around in his old ship.

Shinano never had a single squadron attached to her either. But She was supposedly going to be fitted with MXY7 Ohka suicide jets but was sunk. Its something I want to see.

 Kii Wishlist

• T8 Kii - would instead be renamed Ashitaka, and instead of being a downgraded hull, be a straight sister ship with a gimmick to differentiate her; akin to Tirpitz vs Bismarck.
  • 1:1 copy of Amagi "C", but with either longer ranged secondaries (7km matching Izumo/Yamato) OR the 10cm DP mounts instead of the 12.7cm DP mounts
  • NO torpedoes

Basically a literal sister-ship clone with a simple but working gimmick; either better secondary ranges offset by half the secondaries being AP-firing casemates OR the 10cm DP mounts for better AA and firestarting rates but worse straight secondary damage due to increased shatters from the 10cm HE shells combined with the AP-firing casemates (bouncing on things not broadside or straight-on to the guns).

 

• T9 Kii would be an FXP ship named Kii or an alternate ship name.
  • 1:1 copy of Amagi "C" but with 10cm DPs, torpedoes, and the 41/50 cm cannons from Izumo.  Same slow traverse to offset the stronger guns.
  • Same maneuverability as Amagi but at the expense of having the same speed.  Otherwise, increase speed to about 31~32kt, and increase the turning radius to 900~920m.

In this instance, a straight upgrade of Amagi.  Irregardless of whether or not a Kii-class sister ship appears in a second IJN BB line, this Kii would be worth its FXP cost.  Instead of being a moneymaker like Missouri, give it extra FXP and CXP earning rather than credits.

T7 1943 Mutsu Wishlist

• T7 1943 Mutsu
  • Change T6 Mutsu to a fictional name (Ōshū or Rikushū would be a nice nod)
  • Clone of Nagato "B", lacking any meaningful AA
  • Idealistic RoF of 25~28s while retaining Nagato's accuracy
  • Extended secondary range to 7km (as most of her secondary guns are still AP)
  • Optionally sell a second Permacamo for additional Doubloons that adds something like -100% Detonation Chance

Done.  Arizona proves a ship with practically no AA can still survive some CV matches with good awareness, and do so with a stronger focus on anti-ship performance.  Eugen and Tirpitz prove that near-clones can still sell well as long as they aren't stock hulls.  T7 Mutsu would meet both and market well; being a similar clone that is comfortable enough to hop Commanders between, but with her own unique advantages suited more for anti-ship combat at the expense of practically zero AA (esp. against T8/T9 CVs).

  • To Fuso as Texas is to NY
  • More AA over Fuso
  • Slightly weaker offensively due to 2 turrets facing forward and 4 turrets facing aft, but stronger on the retreat, thanks to 4 aft-facing turrets
  • Needs no other gimmicks; just 1:1 copy of Fuso's gun performance and accuracy

A straight near-clone that balances itself.  Stronger AA over Fuso, but still relatively short-ranged and also weakened when going on the offensive due to the need to give time for the 4 aft-facing guns to swing around.

She is famous for having her bow torn off in a Typhoon and surviving it. The watertight integrity was so good they even recovered the bow.
