It gets much better once you reach R10.

Last time I played ranked two season ago it was hilarious. People would rip me for having a near 50% win rate yet I got to rank 2 in less than 150 matches. There's no stat for showing how many times you finish first in a loss. And the only reason I didn't rank out is because I started with less than two weeks remaining and ran out of time. 

 

I'd love for WG to openly discuss why they won't build a greater star reward/penalty gap so ranked would actually mean what the word implies. In other words finish first (or top two) on the winning team get two stars and finish bottom (or bottom two) on the losing team lose two stars. 

 

If they are concerned two many people would rank out two quickly they can simply increase the number of stars required for each tier by one or two. 

 

Can't they at least test the freaking idea on the test server? That's what it's there for.

I'm doing the one forward one back thing so far it seems. Get a decent team, get 2 afk and stock everything team, rinse and repeat.

I don't mind now though. I just play each game and what happens happens.

One game, one win, in Leander with a 9-point captain. Nothing to brag about. No time this weekend so it will have to wait. Started me at 18. I can live with it....

Mine's off to a bad start. day 2 and stuck in rank 15 hell.   hopefully, it will improve or else it's gonna be a long season. Even had a match in which a teammate flat out stated he was there to "ensure our loss". His plan was a success.

Alot of people will point out how I spent 1200 battles of my life ranking out before, but no one will touch my 250 battle season using only an arp myoko in tier 7-8.  A LOT of luck involved.  With teams, with rng, with trying to enjoy it.

Im planning on starting monday, but I like to see how others are doing.

 

Starting at R13, so hopefully things will normalize when I start.
