Fortunately for me, I did my six back when being in the military was not a positive thing. ;-)

Its sad that there are people like that.  I retired from the Navy after 20 years and it always sickens me to see someone doing this.  I wouldn't say I earned anything of major Valor but damn people, if you really want it, just join up and earn it like the rest of us did.

I mean seriously?  Steeling someones earned valor impersonating a Marine Master Gunnery Sergeant now yea that all equals time in the Federal Pen.  I was in the military for 12 years and seeing stuff like that always ticked me the crap off.  It still does.  Plus he's wearing a Navy Seal insignia in a Army Uniform with Marine Corps Ranks bahahahahahahahaha and look at the ribbons they are all mixed matched and not even correctly organized.

Yeah he is all fubar but unfortunately it usually takes a military person to see that or someone who is around military people lots (civilian workers, dependants, etc). I can't watch those videos any more, they sometimes make me mad, sometimes I feel sorry for the person doing the impersonation as it seems they are lonely & just screaming for attention, and then sometimes they just seem mentally ill.

Good lord. This is a thing people do? I had no idea... what a bunch of pathetic posers. My father served as a Sergeant in the Marines in Vietnam. He witnessed horrors. His artillery unit was called to shell an ammo convoy that turned out to be wagons full of ammo pulled by oxen and /children/. He still has nightmares. These chucklenuts need to get a solid beating, or be forcibly conscripted as front line cannon fodder. Maybe both.

There is so much wrong with that Christmas tree its hard to know where to start. As someone whose worn that uniform i would love to put his to the test ( and i am older than he is lol). Just saying like in boot sometimes more can be said faster and more efficiently with a slap.

Yup these persons are some of the lowest lifeforms I know of. I have met a few makes me so hot when I call them out, especially the ones that claim to be SEALS!!!!

So, honest question. If stolen valor is such a terrible thing (I'm not disputing that it is, I know how seriously you guys are about this) why reward him by giving him attention, creating a whole thread about him? Isn't attention the very reason he did it, to begin with?

This is old - I saw it years ago.  He is wearing Marine dress blues - but yeah, everything else is just wrong!  Seal trident - only way that would happen would be if he were a Seal 1st and then shipped over to Marine - which I doubt would happen, ever!  Also, only badges a Marine would wear under his ribbons are marksmanship and the Presidential badge (forget what its called) but its for current duty assignment under the President (like at Pentagon or on a Presidential detail) - so the EOD badge would be above ribbons, and Marines only wear a max of 2 qualification badges, if they have more than 2, they would only wear 2 at a time - I think they get to choose which 2, but not sure about that.  Anyway, agree with others, he should be in jail!

I think to many people it is just repugnant. It isn't that he is impersonating a Marine, he is impersonating a highly decorated one, that is disgusting. I mean I get why guys might tell someone they were in the service, it usually engenders a bit of respect or maybe impresses a girl. But there is lying and there is full on retarded lying. Never go full [edited]... If the guy wants attention, I say that vets should give him the attention he absolutely deserves for his behavior. If he wants to play dress up, I don't care and don't think it should be against the law but with that said, I think that he should suffer being mocked by his betters. It is only fair.

Lert it is not just for attention a lot of places offer discounts for Veterans.

Like my local Lowes store give me when I show my Vet Card. And a lot of these persons abuse this to get discounts and free stuff.

The other reason this burns me so much, I have seen our men and women come home in boxes then have some pin head, son of a sea slug claim that they are a Veteran or Active is such a insult to every member of every service who has ever fought and bled for their country.

My Uncle Donnie was one of those men in WWII and came home with 60% of his body burned.

What never ceases to amaze me is that many of these men actually served, albeit in less glamorous jobs than the Seals, Special Forces, etc.  Just be proud of what service you did for your country.

How low must your self image be that you need to pump it up with a fake uniform.

Ran into a guy like this once, I smiled and asked how old he was, he said he was a 35 year old Afghanistan veteran. so I says "Neat, so how did you earn an American Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal?"

YEAH! I love watching these videos! I love seeing useless little crap baskets like this get raked over the coals. An the funniest part is- these window lickers actually think nobody will notice!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Unfortunately, it isn't a crime until they actually "GET" financial gain or freebies from it. This is unfortunate. So the best we REAL vets can do, is keep calling these turds out, and DEFINATELY contact Don Shipley if the puke is impersonating a SEAL.

Why get angry when you know that these people are mentally ill?  It's just sad

IF they mentally THAT I could understand. BUT the one that do this and ASK for hand outs and try to get free stuff, or even VA benefits are the ones that should AT LEAST get prison time.
