I haven't read a reason why T6 won't go over well. Most of what I've heard people are excited about T6. Personally I'd like to see a T1, not the entire ranked, but just for a level or three. And no tier will escape this soul sucking fact. You could make every one play the same ship even and it wouldn't change Rank. Why does Rank suck? Because your progress comes down to 7 random captains working together for a win. Something that is nearly impossible for 12 random captains to pull off. And don't get me started on How the Save A Star gimmick doesn't promote team play. Maybe if Ranked was based off a players individual performance and not off simple win or lose we would have something that promoted a players skill. That would be fun and something you could enjoy at any tier. Rank isn't fun. Rank is where fun and time go to die a slow death at the grind wheel. I play mostly T8-10 and going back down to T6 to rank up and retrain captains was not fun (not just the matchmaking). All the tech tree BBs are slow, the cruisers have bad armor, and the DDs either have good torpedoes or good guns. In Flamu's video about what ships to use for Ranked Battles, he said (paraphrasing) "There is no bad ship, just good and better options." That basically means all the ships are so similar it doesn't matter. Ranked battles is where the unique ships usually do well and the average or jack of all trade ships suffer. Look at Ranked Season 5 with T8. Ships that were awesome and were most often used: Bismarck (secondaries), Kutuzov (smoke), Atago (heal, torps), Tirpitz (turtleback armor, torps), and Benson (guns, HP, torps). 4 out of 5 are ships that are unique. (Only reason Benson was the Best DD was that the Teshkent was terrible and IJN DDs havent been popular in ranked) This Ranked season I probably will not enjoy at all, but I will press on because I want my Flint. Remember a long time ago when they handed out some T6 ships for completing a campaign or two? With permanent camos? Yeah... I figure they'll stick with T6 for at least the next two seasons.
