943 [TOSEY] KalishniKat Members 1,344 posts Report post #1 Posted June 28, 2017 How is it that torpedo planes defy the laws of physics, swoop down right next to a mountain and somehow put torpedoes in the water? There is zero room for an actual torpedo run. Dive bombers I can see, but a torpedo plane needs a straight run. they shouldn't be able to basically dive straight down and drop their torps and have them run straight. You get zero lead time on the torpedo, have no room to maneuver out of the way, yet they torpedoes seem to have plenty of room to run in that few meters between you and the shoreline. Its a [edited] mechanic and needs to be fixed. By the way, I despise sky cancer in all its forms.

So 3km to shore line is about 2 miles which would be enough however it is cutting it really close. But we have Ace pilots in every squadron so they make it happen

The way the camera in the game works makes it look as if they don't travel very far, but they actually are.

I quit playing CVs because of this mechanic, and someday WG will wake up like the did in WoT (arty) and make the mechanic disappear in this game or nerf arty to make it a bit more realistic. CVs should not be on the board...
