Had a game now where me (Bismarck) and a Montana got detonated by the same salvo torps. Me on the bow and the Montana on the stern, both only took 1 torp hit. Damn, this was my second time in a bb, previously was in the Scharnhorst. I don't even run the anti-det flag. Cause it happens so seldom. Believe the DD that fired them was an Anshan. Was trying to hunt 2 DDs down becuase they were all that was left of the enemy team, and our CA was off in a corner somewhere. His dying second was spent launching torpedoes at me, and I watched as two of them honed right towards my ship, and I absolutely knew I would have to take them. An ominous feeling rose in the pit of my gut as I saw the torpedoes coming closer, one angled to hit right under my forward turrets. I waited with bated breath as they impacted, sure that something bad would happen. Then I remembered I was using an anti-det signal that game, and was totally fine. I went on to smash face. Didn't bother me too much, though, as the entire spread was going to be enough to finish her off anyway. DD caught me dead to rights as I was distracted trying to keep my angle against another GK and close to secondary range. Generally, I laugh it off, as it's so infrequent, and what goes around comes around. It's kind of like Kung Pao chicken, it's very tasty, but every once in a while, especially if you're not paying attention, you'll get a bite of something spicy. I've caused a few BBs to go boom with a single torp to their magazine. Most memorable was nuking a full HP Izumo with one Fletcher torp as he poked his nose around an island. He wasn't exactly fun and engaged. But then a few months back I'm pushing a cap and a single Kami R torp detonates my Scharnhorst out from under me. And I'm like, "thats fare, congrats on the RNG Kami R." Detonation giveth and Detonation taketh, its the circle of life with Fun and Engaging mechanics.
