3,999 [V_KNG] Herr_Reitz Beta Testers 13,205 posts Report post #1 Posted June 28, 2017 I've noticed when a patch/update is downloading at horribly slow speeds, if I simply close the launch interface, wait ten seconds or so then start it again, the d/l speeds will increase dramatically. Today for example, it went from 178 kbs to 3.8 mbs. So if you ever experience a slow d/l this might work for you. Aye blame the Russians for everything.......my losses in battle .............my crappy internet connection ... .....cough my losses in battles.......cough .....my lack of money .... my lack of rum...my losses in battles... .... my lack of a Victoria secret SUPER model G/F ...chasing me while wearing a bikini and waving a golf club around in an angry manner.......sigh. J/K .....I love Vodka ...but if it goes missing ..I blame my parrot... Some have suggested > downloads are like a full bottle of Rum A trickle at first hardly noticeable ..and then.... ZOOM.... it's done. ( A metaphor for much in life one suspects) I might spend some money and buy a faster line ...after spending three days downloading the last big patch WOW's had... MAN...three days doing that......on the fourth day ..another patch ... Aye blame the Russians .... WAITER!!!....MORE VODKA....ON WOW'S ACCOUNT....BRING THE GOOD STUFF!!! Ending the game update process then restarting it worked - i'm guessing here - because a new path to the update patch was obtained. Think of the path as finding a freeway entrance ramp as opposed to taking a two late state highway. It worked. It's worked in the past. Just thought it was worth sharing.
