Clearly, the ship must be in both an Over Powered or Garbage state, because there is no attainable middle ground with regards to Carriers.

Clearly, WG/Lest have proven they know how to balance Carriers, especially premium ones. Saipan has proven itself to be broken balanced, as has Kaga. Clearly, WG will get the 3rd one just right.

I'm not happy by the fact that Kaga and Enterprise are released under circumstance that no sign of actual CV reworks.
I opposed WG decision about this because CV has serious issues (yup I play CV here as a main) that need to address for very long time
I'm fine that WG decided to do an experiments as testbed for future reworks
but releasing to public is what I don't want to see

sorry for those Americans who want big E in their port, but I want WG to scrap this idea and throw CV release away until rework is complete (or admit that they suck at CV balance and find another team to do so)

Tier VII aircraft on a Tier VIII CV facing Tier X AA.  Terrible Torpedo Bomber drop patterns on top of not having 12 TB loadouts like everybody else is having that isn't USN.  Also aircraft replacements slanted towards fighters and not the TBs & DBs that are going to get slaughtered, so Enterprise loses strike capability in a match very quickly.  And AP bombs reliant on RNG to supposedly make up for these shortfalls.  I already know how it's going to go, at least a big part of it

Kaga faces similar issues as Enterprise with lower tier aircraft being used.  However, Kaga has several key things going that Enterprise will not have.

 

Kaga is Tier VII, sure she gets rocked in a Tier IX match and facing the rare Saipan, but as a Tier VII she still regularly beats up on Tier V & VI ships, a number of which have horrible AA.  Unless it's an AA Gneisenau, Colorado, Cleveland, Atlanta, at Tier V-VII there are lots of poor AA ships that Kaga can exploit.

 

Enterprise doesn't get that luxury.  I will tell you now, when I play a Tier VIII CV the only thing I ever see are Tier IX-X ships with powerful AA.  It's not fun and that is with proper Tier VIII planes.  Enterprise will be flying woeful Tier VII planes against the likes of Montana, Des Moines, Minotaur with its 100 AA Rating that reaches out to 8.6km, Neptune, Baltimore, Roon, Hindenburg, Iowa / Missouri, AA Fletcher & Gearing, etc.  Rare is the chance for a Tier VIII CV to flex muscles against Tier VI ships, all I see are Tier IX-X.  Tier IX-X CVs are so rare, they are essentially extinct.  It's like Tier VIII CVs are force fed into Tier IX-X matches on a high frequency to make up for the fact the Tier IX-X CVs don't exist.

 

Kaga's planes are very flimsy and she stakes her claim as a strike oriented CV.  It's not surprising for Kaga to lose lots of planes on a good run but that's okay... She has large reserves in her bombers so she can make several good, powerful runs before her bomber groups are diminished in numbers.

 

Enterprise doesn't get that benefit, her replacements are slanted towards fighters with very low TB & DB replacements.

 

What makes Kaga powerful is her torpedo capability, very powerful TB strikes with a nasty drop pattern.

 

Enterprise doesn't get 12 TBs like everyone is gettting these days who are not USN.  Not only that, WG gave her [edited] TB drop patterns leaving yooge gaps.  What you then have are RNG-fest DBs that can and will completely miss despite a good manual drop.  It's no surprise that IJN CVs with their massive reliance on heavy torpedo attacks do much better damage than RNG-fest, DB-reliant USN CVs.

 

These red flags on Enterprise were a concern a while now so it will not surprise me if the reviews of her are [edited].  Even the previews from Aerroon during Super Testing phase were not good ones for her.
