15 cits with DD HE? wut?

Played Shinonome. At the end chased two CVs (Bogue and Zuiho) and shot HE at them. 15 Cits! (both killed with HE). Never would have believed it.

My best Shinonome game yet.

Sadly we lost.

Bogue and Zuiho have no armor protection, which is why they take cits from HE of any caliber.

Once did 17 to a Ranger with the pop-guns on Akizuki; but that was with AP.

 

Bogue is big and fat, and DD guns generally pretty puny; so easy for Bogue to survive a lot of hits. As long as it doesn't burn up or die from torps or someone else stealing securing your kill; the citadels should keep piling up.
