I was able to install and run the game on my linux machine (Manjaro Linux 64 bit) using WINE.  There's some graphics anomalies (black speckles in the water and mountain sides) in the battle screen I haven't sorted yet.  Otherwise it runs great.

WINE literally stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator. It just hit 3.0 major version number like yesterday. This is also a necro thread but not an unwelcome one. =)

I started to set up WINE to run on my linux server, just to do it.  It started to feel very much like "work".  I am a RedHat sysadmin and systems engineer.  I think I will pass on completing this project.
