Even if it is a small amount (10, 20, 30 doubloons per mission) it would be a great way to increase player activity. Each battle played should also include opportunities to earn Doubloons. If they can do it then I don't see why WG can't either. 50 doubloons after seven consecutive days is not going to hurt their income. QoL are things like captain respec'ing and quicker retraining. However, it also takes a while to grind XP to the point where you no longer require any doubloons for respec'ing captains or free XP. What else can you use doubloons on? Well, ships, obviously. The selection of ships you can buy for doubloons is decent, but they still cost more than what you will typically win in boxes. So, for newer players, doubloons is more useful for speeding up their grind, but for players who put in the hours, doubloons becomes, mostly, useless. Click on the "Purchase Dubloons" button. 3. Follow instructions. This is a business, run for profit; it's a thing people use to feed their families. Not to mention server upkeep and the power bill etc. They can't just sell premium ships and turn a profit. I think a lot of you guys who say this have not tried in a while. I try for nothing but now and in the last month have gotten probably 4-6 SC's...1000 doubloons, 7 days premium, 2x got 50k of free XP, 2x got 100 flags....good stuff. In the RN event that starts Sep 20th (patch 7.9 drops Sep 19th) you can earn RN containers. They have Sovereigns. Warspite and Gallant will be in the RN Arsenal section for Sovereigns. If you have Warspite in your port and buy it again for 220 Sovereigns, you will get 6,500 doubloons. If you have Gallant in your port and buy it again for 200 Sovereigns, you will get 4,500 doubloons. Even if you don't have Warspite now, it is in the tree and you can get -30% off tomorrow on T6 ships in the game for doubloons. So, unless WG changes Warspite, you can net ~1,900 doubloons by getting it on sale tomorrow and buying it for Sovereigns after patch 7.10 hits Oct 17th.
