They have it set up so it only takes 7 wins to hit rank 1, so it's not too hard. I managed to do it in 9 matches. Spoiler My last match was pretty much classic ranked. Trying (in vain) to convince the remaining members of the team to try to stay alive while I run off to cap. Also had a couple key torp hits in smoke, something many consider to be as rare as super containers. Was using the Hatsu with the 15 point captain they provide on PTS. Couldn't afford TA and boy are those Hatsu torps slower than heck. They're barely faster than the Hatsu itself. (with Sierra Mike flag and Engine Boost) Of course, the end of the match came down to a 1v3. Yeah that'd be nice. Also, do not make the mistake of judging your Ranked ships/builds based off of the PT. The yoyo was real, that is something I wish they could fix. I would like to see either top 2 on losing team dont lose a star, or top 1 on losing team gains an star and 2nd on losing team doesnt lose. Also, was cool they had this on the PTS. I got to replay a lot of ships I hadn't in a while. Some just felt really bad, others felt really good. I would be down for #1 "losing" gains a star, and #2 doesn't lose a star. I think that would give a good positive feeling to a team that knows at a point they're gonna lose. You still have a chance! I was #1 at times, but it wasn't on a regulars basis considering I usually Ranked DD in my "team mode". I'm more about creating the opportunity for my team to do dmg firstly and worry about myself second. It must work ok because I gained lots of karma last season regardless if I was towards the bottom. Yeah, it was crazy. No one on my teams knew how to hide in smoke. In my last match, this Russia player did nothing but curse all game. It was pretty funny.
