I got reported twice...for this match?!?!?

Someone in my own team typed "report Hindenburg" because I had full HP and hadn't charged the red cap. 

I played craftily and defended our cap, and nearly outscored the winning team (I did outscore a unicum division) - and I got reported for this? and get called a camper? I can't understand some of these players.

I have to deal with this time to time. Just 2 days ago I was top player on my team and a dead nub was crying... "Why are you not fighting?" lol... Back seat noobs. I was fighting 6 ships because my whole entire team died. But I'm not fighting? lol 

 

I gave him all reports I could.

yes, the game will let you know when you return to port after a match.

I got torpedo walled by my own Shiratsuyu earlier today, and then he reported me for "getting in the way" of his torpedoes which were aimed at the enemy ship I was engaged in CQC with...

But... Scoring that well against CatOnBoard.... That is a win, in and of itself. This is who you were playing against, #3 player on NA.

Nice battle, regardless of complaints. I received a pile of complaints in my Warspite last week because at the end of the match I was way off on the side of the map and wasn't able to participate in the final brawl at C. What my team failed to notice was that I had just done 150k damage single handedly capturing and holding A.

So silly question... how do you know that you've been reported? I can't figure out if I've never been reported or just care so little about it that I never noticed. Is it obvious when it happens?

OP, there are people who report anyone that sinks them in a game, or if they don't like the way you play, or if you're alive at the end of a loss, or if they don't like your ship, or if their Hot Pockets aren't warm enough, etc.

I'm not really sure how you're to blame. I do find it easier to blame players who haven't scratched their paint, but you can generally tell if someone is contributing or not, even if they haven't taken a lot of damage. Sometimes you just don't targeted.

probably because people saw you at near full health and in a losing match, but they couldnt see your dmg so assumed you were camping. Just the other day I has trying out strike ranger, near end of match a guy was complaining i should be using 111 loading, eventhough i told everyone i was using strike, had >100k dmg and at least 2 near full dd kills early on in the game.

I thought that at least 2 players had to report you for it to have any effect. Otherwise it would be even more ridiculous. I've had a 3-man division trash me on multiple occasions. Sometimes on the other team because I helped wreck them. Sometimes on my own team because I criticicized their play, or just because I did better than they did. 

My favorite is being accused of hacking. Usually after deleting a cruiser sailing broadside or "hiding" in smoke. 

BTW you do not always see a notification that you've been reported. I check my Karma in the Profile after any battle where there was a lot of saltiness or where I did really well. 

Question:  How can you carry a team that was down a cap and 3 ships, earning Kraken and High Caliber plus 3 Solo caps and not get a single up-vote?  Even after complimenting CVs on great spotting early game. Or after a Solo Warrior win in Ranked with Benson where you sank the remaining enemy cruiser and kept the 3 BBs from taking a second cap for over 4 minutes?(Answer: human nature and current culture but it's still sad.)

who really cares,  the report system is a joke,  a placebo for the whiny little babies that play this game,    " Whaaaa, he didn't do what I wanted"  Reported.      I have a foul mouth and a temper, and I will let you know if you suck donkey bits.  but I hardly ever use the report options.  unless it's a Racial thing in chat.

If the report was done during battle (ie before you go back to port) then when you return to port, on the lower right hand side of the port UI where the notifications popup about resupply and battle results etc, a box will appear saying "you have been reported, you have been reported x times"  which is for that battle.  Likewise if complimented there will be a separate box for that saying much the same thing.

 

If someone reports you or compliments you after you have returned to port, you won't see a popup notification, but can tell by the karma number changing on your profile.

Thanks! Probably explains why I've never noticed. Hardly pay attention to those popups at all. Just a "forward to the next battle" sort of player.
