On NA there's no ship left for me to grind, although I might just buy Aoba and get through her. I might just bring out the good old Hatsuharu though, I love how people expect nothing and then get surprised by the SE using JP DD with 5 guns and 64knts fast 6km torps. For the early ranks, I would probably advise a BB (Arizona, Warspite, Fuso), since they can carry fairly well even if your team's synergy is poor. Later on however, a cruiser (Cleveland, Budyonny) or a DD (Farragut, Shinonome, Gallant, maybe Gaede) would be much better. If the CV population is enough to get a regular match, the Ryujo will be the king, with large numbers of (3,1,1) loadouts, or possibly skilled (1,2,2) players. For me, Farragut, Aoba, and Dunkerque have always given me great results in ranked. However, I do want to try out using Warspite and Duca d'Aosta in ranked this season. For cruisers, I could choose between the Cleveland, Leander, and Molotov with the Molotov having the best crew by far (my Donskoi crew).
