Ranked Battles

Hi. I've been driving my ships for 2 months now. and i want to get into ranked battles. 

How?

First do you have a Tier VI?

 

If you answered yes to that question then select battle type to the right the battle button, and a screen should pop up showing the types of battle available.  Click ranked battles.

 

In my opinion you shouldn't waste time in ranked battles, it's just a lot of headaches and salt.

Ok there a few things you need to get into rank. The first one is make sure you have unlocked the ranked battle under your profiles I am not sure what rank that is but it goes to 13.  the next one is ranked battles only happen every now and then.  the next season is starting soon.  this season will be t6 ships.   if you meet all these criteria under battles there a drop tab click on that and you will see ranked battles.  ranked battles is not happening until next patch

You are at Level 14 but currently do not seem to have a T6 ship. You need T6.

Ranked 7th Season has not been announced yet. We do not have dates so now it would not be accesible. Today it has been announced that will will be T6 and will be included in the next patch test 0.6.7 starting tomorrow. Ranked will start sometime after testing concludes, probably within the next two weeks.

As a relatively new player; be prepared for rage and salt in ranked.

 

Ranked can be uber competative, and there are those who will pummel you unmercifully if they feel you are gimping their chances to advance.

 

You may do well; I won't say you won't; just be prepared for the bad, as well as the good, that may come from playing ranked.

Ranked made me sad. I tried it for one season, and I'm good for I think...ever.

You've reached level 14 so you are able to run in ranked battles.

You will need a tier 6 ship from what i've been hearing.

You should also have a minimum 10 skill commander for that ship and the ship should be fully upgraded.

You should also run premium consumables as well as signal flags.

Hi Bronx, first don't let the naysayers fool you.  Yes Ranked is a salt infested cesspool of unicum jackwagons (sometimes), but it is the best training you will ever get in tactics and strategy for this game, it has helped me out a lot.  You will also meet some really good people that will try to help you, LISTEN TO THEM!  The best players in this game are the ones that will take some time to explain what you need to do next time, they will have a little more patience and will help.  The players that are good at this game and cant seem to talk without a lot of salt are sort of like having a colonoscopy, just read between the lines and move on.

1. Make sure you have a T6 ship with a captain that has most of the skill points (10 was mentioned, I think 16 would be my lowest to try) that you are the most comfortable in.  Try and use one that seems to suit you, it can be a DD, CA, BB or God forbid a CV.  Try to play that ship in randoms as much as you can so that you know it in and out.

2. Next, join a clan!  Find a clan that have a lot of players that do Ranked battles, they will help you in getting ready.

3. Remain calm!  You will get burned in the chat for what ever you do, just try to read between the lines of insults and you will learn something even from the most vile jerks playing this mode.  Also, recognize that you might do great in a match, only to see the win go to the other team because your team really made some bad mistakes, it's a bummer but ship happens.  Please don't salt those players that blow it, it's not worth it.

4. There are a lot of Youtube vids out there, use them.

5. Fear not, for you are just as much of a noob as another player that started to do Ranked.  You're no worse and no better, just try to learn as much as you can BEFORE you press that Ranked button.

6. Don't binge play (I'm gilty of this), try to play at times when you seem to do the best, you will notice a pattern and you will recognize other players.

Ranked is a challenge, take it as a test of your soul.

To expand on this slightly;

 

The most common advice given about this is 'play until you lose.' After that quit. Go play some Co-op in a ship you love. Spend time with your kids or wife/significant other. Do your hony-dos/chores, mow the yard, walk the dog, go jogging...

 

Come back LATER and try ranked again. the worst thing you can do is get frustrated; that just leads to further losses.

I've got all of the ship and captain req's, but the button still won't light up.
