Shinonome for ranked?

What are your thoughts on this?  I have some ideas of ships but this one was teasing me to try.

I don't think so. You need more of a brawler because you will have that expectation of taking that cap and holding it.

 

Not saying I won't give it a try, I will. But a nimble gunboat is what will be useful there.

Work with a good team and her smokes are pretty dang good, her guns are good, and her agility is great. Torps are best for Knife fighting, but thats kinda the point of the boat in general. I also just happen to be decent with her and have nothing else sooooooo...

It'll be a heavy smoke meta with no radar present, so torps are looking to be the main counter.

 

While Shinonome doesn't have Fubuki's upgraded torp range, it does get the heavier gun allotment. Players who know how to run torp boats should do alright.

shino is best hybrid DD at t6.  it has similar dpm as anshan with extra faster reloading torps.   with smoke meta, I think having that extra torp may be useful.  I will try her out, but I also have farragut as back up.  for contesting cap,  farragut is pretty strong.

I finally earned Shinonome, but I have Farragut as well as a number of cruisers to choose from. I have all of one game in her and it was awful... but, I see the potential.

 

 The best answer might be Fuso though...

Shinonome gets 3x2 gun barrels... and then pretty nice torps on top of that.

 

In the right hands, she can be pretty deadly.

Shinonome at T6 is what Shima at T10 should be.  It is a fantastic DD and easily a top choice for ranked t6.

I'll be using Shinonome.  I have Farragut and Anshan as back-ups, if needed.

 

Leander will probably be my top cruiser, Cleveland is runner-up.

Arizona is my top battleship.  Dat tight pattern in optimal range...
