I've been most impressed by the number of female forum goers here,  especially many of the most respected ones. But where are the female YouTubers for the game?  Is there any, and do they stack up to their forum counterparts?

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8MzkEgBDu_7lqgNr5F4dpA Femennenly and as far as stacking up I have heard you don't want her on the opposing team. I don't believe that I have come up against her yet though.

Take a look at the gender of the gaming population here -- percentage of male to female.

Now take a look at how often any individual gamer becomes an active and popular YouTuber.

Statistically, this explains why you don't see many female YouTubers posting stuff for World of Warships.

Then you should take the lead and start with YouTube. Your chances are good, just look around this Forum. I see a lot of support.

It's been in the works for a while.  I'd only be interested in doing so if I could monetize it, honestly.  It's a lot of more work on top of everything I do already.

Most girls don't advertise on the internet for the obvious reason...... Kids will be kids. :sceptic:

(Look at some of the reaction for Dasha, you'd think think some of these guys had never seen a woman before)

I rather like her method of long-form investigation and review better than I like the YouTuber aesthetic. I'm also not sure how she'd have enough time to do both.

I don't see myself buying a $300,000 motion capture rig and software, spending a few hundred hours developing a 3D avatar and paying a salary to a voice actor to start a YouTube channel that will, at best, cater to an audience of about 30,000 to 50,000 subscribers interested in watching World of Warships content.

Yes, being able to play with high priced equipment normally reserved for a production studio in a private setting would be awesome.  So would producing content with it.  But it's like investing in a Ferarri for a part time pizza-delivery job from Little Caesar's.  You're not going to get a good return on your investment.

If you go this route, you can count on my paying subscription. I figure I owe you about 5 years of back pay for all the help your guides have given me.

Thanks.  I think what will probably happen is that I'll lend my writing skills to team that makes a new channel.  That's probably the most feasible solution at this stage.  But we'll see.

As much as I would tune in to a LWM channel, I appreciate the written reviews! You can't always watch video, and the written format allows for all sorts of Powerpointy charts and visual aids. Even bullet points. PHB-approved ship reviews.
