Cold Waters

Seems like there is a new sub game just out in Steam.  Its a B2P game, single player type, wondering if its worth the cash ($40).  This one is about the Cold War going Hot.

Saw a few reviews/LP of it dropped on you tube... it seems "interesting" but you want something slighty more interesting, check out the planned Pirate Ship game (Skull & Bones?)... out at E3,  on one of the big game sites they suggested players of WoWS would probably love it. I'm like thinking, ooh... bet you don't get anymore WoWS advertising coinage ;-)

If it's at all reminiscent of the submarine combat from Battlestations Pacific, even just a little bit, then I may be picking this one up.

If you're unsure of the $40 price tag, wait till the Steam Summer sale and see if the price drops. 

 

Edit: Also a Youtuber worth checking out to see if you like the game is Stealth17gaming. He has a pretty good grasp on Sub combat

I have bought it, I can say if you wanted WOWS to have subs, this may be a game to consider, it is a mix of simulation and fun gameplay, while a challenge to play.

Personally it's worth it, it's most definitely a tough simulator, but not much harder once you get the hang of it then say Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations. It's a touch dumbed down in some areas, but for the most part is a good representation of submarine and ASW warfare.
