I've been burnt out on high tier play so decided to derp around in the Tachibana a bit this weekend.

 

I was sick of high tier sky cancer ruining my fun, so....I got put into this game tonight with a T4 CV. Granted, it took the remaining 3 ships a good 8 minutes to sink me.

I think 616k potential damage is astounding for a ship with 7k HP, and I'm top XP earner in a t2 ship with 5km torps...come on potatoes. FFS.

 

Post some of your good tachibana games? Pls?

8 minutes to kill you? Please tell me you weren't just running away (high tier games get fast then you spend the rest of the game getting your caps back while the DD keeps spamming  away).

3 ships a good 8 minutes to sink me.

We were in the points lead so I was defending, thank you very much. The CV dropped me 4 times and I was having a gun battle with a Clemson. Rpf helped me stay alive for a long time.

I consider the tachi more of a gunboat than a torp boat btw, but i've had oodles of fun with it

Only because you divisioned with a tier 3 ship. If you'd stuck to your own tier you'd never see a CV in Tachibana.

Here here!  I never did get tach though.  

 

Just a little note for you.... If you want a little payback now and then, consider a nicholas AA build.  You don't have to get into cruisers to still get good plane kills.  Its nice to play spoiler, and they never avoid sending bomber squadrons right over top of your defensive fire like they do with say a cleveland.  I had a 19 plane-kill game on friday in nicholas.

lmbo.   I like tachi, but I also  hate t2 matches since it is usually 4v4

T2 lines are that long regardless.   I sit in queue forever with my umikaze also, divisioned or otherwise.   They are a little less if you go right back in queue when a battle ends though, but you tend to have a lot of games with the same people.  I still wish they would allow me to uptier in my Umi to more than just a t3 match.  :\

 

Its always nice when they release a new line of cruisers.  You can finally get T2 games without waiting for about a 2 week span.
