There is nothing wrong with resurrecting a thread if they are actually adding to the discussion. Why start a new one when there is already one. What they should do is start dinging people when they are are not adding to the discussion.

It wasn't but the person that did the resurrection didn't know that and they did add to the subject. Locking all old threads because one was resurrected is overkill.
