Big E vs Shokaku

By no means am I a 'great' CV player but I am decently average and usually get above avg damage even in the face of retarded tier 10 AA. This is the first time Ive been head to head vs a supertester (GG!) whom I expect to be better at CV's than me lol. Excuse the pics, I rarely if ever post pics but I thought you all would like to see the results, pay no attention to my XP totals as I had camo and a flag. He chose to hit my fighters while I was doing attack runs so he easily wiped them out with minimal losses, my kills on his fighters were mostly strafes.

As a side note, 2-3 more seconds and it would have been a win for me. My last 2 torp bombers had dropped on the Chap, outracing his fighters, one of which would have hit and sank him.

This. Also note that not all STs are good or unicum players. STs range in player skill. Some are also very bad.

For all the doom and gloom currently around Enterprise... I do wonder if it might be competitive with Shoukaku. Balanced loudout, lower tier planes but a little more per squadron...

Tier 10 AA is a [edited], hell even tier 8 AA can be nasty (french AA from cruisers is surprisingly nasty) and the panic is about tier 7 planes in that environment. Shokaku and Lexi can fare well if carefully played but even then in a tier 10 match its not unusual for my Shokaku to loose most if not all of the planes, this means problems for tier 7 planes. E vs Shokaku may be a good matchup but much like a Kaga as a bottom tier CV, your planes will begin to melt away 5 KM from a top tier target, and the CV's role will be reduced to that of a scout plane.

 

I put this game up to show that its not all bad with Enterprise but I dont know what its damage output was.

That much I'm not going to argue. Being bottom tier sucks, add in undertiered planes and... yeah, it's ouch.

 

But I'm kind of thinking, for example... a ranked match where everyone is the same tier. Next time a T8 season rolls around... that's where I'm wondering if she could be competitive.
