A Dilemma

Hey guys, looking for some advice. I've been playing the game for a long time, mostly playing destroyers, which I've gotten good at. I still have fun with them simply because I succeed at them but honestly I'm starting to get bored with them. I want to play other lines seriously but I don't want to commit to an annoying grind. What ship lines did you find fun, and why? Any quick advice for that line? Thanks.

I've been a DD main for quite some time but I have a robust collection of CL in port as well. I can't give you any advice for a "line" but any of the T4, T5, or T6 cruisers give some fun and relief from DD play. My favorites are Kuma, Phoenix, Omaha, Cleveland, Konigsberg, Budyonny, Leander and Fiji. Haven't really worked with French CL much. Try the CL's. They are really fun.

Try cruisers!

 

American ones are fun all the way through. Spec Cleveland for AA, and nothing else.

IJN CAs have a nice, logical progression to them from tier 5 to 10 and also favor a stealthy sort of play that you're likely used to from DDs... No pew-pew though.

 

German BBs have a nice progression to them and excellent anti-DD toolkit (great secondaries throughout, hydro t8+) if you want to turnabout your DD experiences and use that knowledge for evil.

Yeah I can see how that would be nice for the manuverability.

If you don't want to grind, might start out with a lower level premium to decide which class, BB or cruisers.
