Is it just me or do all of the tier 7 battleships feel like a step backwards when compared with their tier 6 sisters?

You get bigger guns and better ship. Don't know what's really wrong with that, but.. if you have trouble playing a ship, just ask.

Hmmm, interesting thought.  Fuso seemed stronger then Nagato ( in its tier), but both German and US were upgrades six to seven.  Maybe tier 6 seems stronger fighting tier 5 to 8 vs tier 7 fighting tier 5 to 9.....

Going from the Fuso to the Nagato is like trading a shotgun for a rifle. They're very different ships, with different skill floors.

Gneisenau would like to have a word with you.

In their stock configurations, a few of the T7 BB's can be pretty rough. But once you get them fully upgraded, each is definitely a step forward from the previous ship.

It is basically this. Both the USN and IJN BB lines go from having 12 guns to only 8. So your aim needs to be better to consistently hit shots.

The guns hit harder, but you are throwing fewer shells at the enemy. It does take some time to get fully adjusted to.

As for the German BB line, the Gneisenau is a very different ship from the T6 counterpart. In almost every aspect the Nessie is better then the preceding Bayern. The only sacrifice you make is loosing a single turret, which is more then offset by the speed, armor, secondaries, AA, and torpedo's that the Nessie has access to.

Yeah that's what i'm asking, and there are so many [edited]trolls (@aethervox @lert) in this forum its hard to get an honest answer. Seems like fighting up to tier 9 in a 7 isn't a shift in capability it's a downgrade compared to a 6 fighting up to 8. but again hard to get an honest opinion, most people in this forum will disregard a comment as "lack of skill" or "learn to aim" or some other garbage comment.

well, yes their are more than a few edited trolls, but aethervox and lert are not among them. they have consistently responded to questions I've asked in a helpful way. one of them has trolled a few times, but the posts I placed earned it.

I loved nagato, one of the few ships I felt comfortable in, after strugging in the fuso. gnessy is good, will be going back to her after learning the game in lower ranks like T4. for me, both were stronger in their Tier than the T6. they do not play the same, at all.

I believe the Warspite is the most accurate BB in the game with 213 meters of dispersion.  The Colorado is the second most accurate BB with 231 meters of dispersion.  Since the Warspite can only be purchased for real cash the Colorado is the top dog for accuracy.  Unfortunately, the other cons of both ships seriously off set the accuracy of their guns.
