MM Issues Again

The hate for tier 5 shown by the MM just gets worse. All 7 games with my tier 5 ships, I'm low tier. Can't remember the last time I saw a tier 4 when I play my 5s. And of course, it's not just 6s..always up against 7s. I hold my own, but some balance would be nice. But of course, WG says everything is fine.

Just another day in world of warships bud. Just wait until you get to tier 8, it gets much worse. You basically become a punching bag for tier Xs in every match. Keep playing, dont get discouraged. I promise, eventualy you'll get used to getting f*cked all the time.

Why are you making false thread titles? There isn't a matchmaking issue, you just got bad luck with the matchmaker. If you have a problem with that, join the hundreds of other forumers in asking WG to undo protected tier 3/4 matchmaking, instead making untrue claims.

I think the MM is fine.

 

I got to Tier V and all I saw was OP premium ships; if they are not challenged by higher tiers you just get a lot of experienced players getting their own way, sitting comfortably and notching up the WR.

 

Yes Tier V is hard, but for all. As a newer player it makes me very happy that we are not in a situation where a load of experienced players in Kams and Gremys are sitting pretty at that Tier. You want to change the MM then allow everyone access to all ships.

It's definitely not true at certain tiers.  Specifically, 4 and 7 are more likely to be top tier, while 5, 6 and 8 are less likely.  And, of course, 10 is always top.

No, it's not true. Not if you include a lot of T5 and T6, and not if you play T8-9 in the off-hours. Then you are usually uptaken into T10 matches. I no longer play any of my T5s except Okhotnik, only Fuso in T6, and I play only Tirp and Kutu in T8, since I don't mind being uptiered in those ships.

Why can't you play T5s? If you enjoy a ship or type of play - play it!

So take the experience like Seal Clubbing - don't blame higher tier players in better ships. Instead learn from it and get better.

it's a happy thought, but getting uptiered to T7  in a Murmansk or a Marblehead is no fun.

My Emile Bertin and Podvoisky handle uptiers ok (75k damage and 2 tier 7 CVs sunk by Pod in game last night) but some balance would be nice. It would be nice to be top tier like 10% of the time, but I'm not seeing it. Tier 5 is the top tier I play, since I had my fill of being uptiers into high tier toxic gameplay when I had my 6s and 7s.

I think Lert did a study on this awhile back, though I dont remember tha outcome. The thread should still be out there somewhere (on mobile otherwise I'd find it).

MM whiners have become the "Remove SPGs" equivalent for WoWS. You'll still be complaining 6 years from now and nothing will change because your arguments lost the battle of ideas.
