Probably some WWII reenactment event, where some guys decided to show up in Roman dress, Idunno. I doubt this was all organized specifically to put Roman soldiers behind WWII era materiel. Very fitting post as yesterday was the anniversary of D-Day. When the Legions ended the war by landing on the shores of Carthage from the ocean. The Para Legions suffered high casualties but prevented reinforcements from coming to the Carthaginians thus securing victory. I was kind of hoping it was an upcoming movie. The guy on the right in the first picture kind of looks like Rob Corddry. The second to last picture almost looks like Jonathan Banks. Somebody did a story on Reddit that supposedly is going to be made into a movie about a lost US battalion that goes back in time to Roman times. https://www.reddit.com/r/RomeSweetRome/
