Just finished updating the game. I didn't download the new sound pack As I'm traveling and didn't want to prolong the update with stuff I don't need at this time. I may get the ultra sound pack later if it can be downloaded separately or I'll just wait for the next patch when I'm on my Home connection.

Game is updating at home, and I'm at work. So hopefully, this isn't my case :/

I have the WGC (#ragrets) and just finished patching two hours after it started.

 

There is something wrong with the way it patches. The download speed varied from 0.1 kB/s to 3 MB/s and it frequently screwed with the network connection, dropping it every five minutes. It also interrupted itself and then had to re-check everything. In addition, I was unable to do anything else as most of the CPU was trying to handle this (I have a new i5 4690, for those who wonder if I am running a potato computer).

I operate as though I've offered WG, a homeless friend, a sofa to crash on in my house indefinitely. The game folder is the sofa; that's their place to hang out and keep their bag of personal crap.  They can stay or they can leave with their crap any time they want.

 

Everything that's mine stays off and away from that sofa. I've got plenty of room in my house.

The new update is installed, I am able to connect but the game drops me back to connect screen within a few moments. I cannot stay connected to my game. Anything I may have missed with this new update?

Try deleting any mods you have installed. If that doesn't work, use the repair function in the installer. Also i'm not 100% sure the server is up yet.

The game settings option is not available yet. Mousing over it gives me a message "Game settings can be changed after all operations with the game are completed."

I've decided it time to wipe the game clean from my system and do a fresh reinstall. Hoping this will be a straightforward process...  I do wonder how long installing WG Game Center should take.

Sadly, I'm infinitely better at Photoshop than playing WoWS.  Although, I did get two/more than one Confederates in one sitting for the first time last night... Maybe me play pretty some day.
