As much as I like the Enterprise for her history, I am not into CVs at all. I have o-n-e Russian ship in my port that I got for free in a challenge mission campaign. that I play in PvP about once a month. I am not into the VMF and its' paper ships at all. I love how people automatically presume Russian ships are paper instead of just themselves being uninformed of its existence... Didn't they say they were going to try out a new weapon system on the Enterprises planes? I thought I remembered it being on fighters but I am probably wrong. Not too many 'real' carriers would be in that tree. Wasp, Yorktown/Hornet, perhaps early production Essex with reduced quad 40's compliment, but thats about it. Wasp, Yorktown/Hornet, perhaps early production Essex with reduced quad 40's compliment, but thats about it. I had a post a while back suggesting splitting into conversions and purpose-built types. (Conversions: Independence-Sangamon-Lexington, purpose-built: Wasp-Ranger-Yorktown.) The split would be at T6. Then after T8, option 1 would leave things as is, with both lines going back at T9, option 2 would have Iowa and Montana conversions for the conversion line, while Essex and Midway would be in the purpose-built line. While I'm at it, I also heard the Enterprise would get five-plane squads in a 2-2-2 loadout. I hope that's true, but we won't know what we're getting till we get it. The Kaga has T6 planes and she does okay. If anything WG can simply increase the size of the squadrons and reserves and she'd be a pretty strong ship. I'd love for her to have a 2/2/2 layout. 114 [NLIST] AdmiralMudkip Members 618 posts 8,201 battles Report post #22 Posted June 8, 2017 (edited) Now, on his second run on the Enterprise he got 44 plane kills and around 1,800 base XP (he won). But he only did about 60K damage because the first two games of the Enterprise were uptiered. Also another fun fact, the Montana can wipe out half of the torpedo bomber squadrons before they make a drop. It seems that the Enterprise is meant for fighter dominance with its unusually large amount of fighter reserves. It can even fight against an AS Lexington, as Flamu has done. EDIT: It's a W-shaped drop and you can't reliably hit DD's that way! Edited June 8, 2017 by AdmiralMudkip
