Scenario/Operation question, how often can you play each one?

WG just LOVES to make things extremely confusing and complicated.  My question is, without a division, how often can you play each Scenario/Operation.

First of all, I don't understand the difference between an operation and a scenario.

Secondly, WG says as follows:

"YOU CAN COMPLETE THE UNLOCKED SCENARIOS AGAIN, BUT ONLY AS A MEMBER OF AN EXTENDED DIVISION."

Is an extended division a platoon of 4 or more?  What constitutes a completed scenario?  Is that when you win or get 5 stars?  Once you complete it are you then done for the week unless you have 3 friends to form a division?

It seems to say you an form a division but then have nobody in it and the MM will fill it out but I am thinking this is only if you have 4 but not 7.  Is that right?

There is no limit but there is a cool down before you can use a ship again.

An Operation = A Scenario

Operations (gameplay mode) lets you play several different scenarios, but you can't just pick any one you want.

Division = up to 3 people

Extended Division = 4-7 people

Scenario of the Week = Scenario you can queue for with randos this week

Unlocked scenario = Scenario that isn't Scenario of the Week (e.g. last week's one), but you finished in the past

Locked scenario = Scenario you can't access because it's not this week's Scenario of the Week AND you haven't beat it in the past

Bottom line is, if you want to do a scenario that isn't this week's one, you MUST have:

  • Finished it in the past
  • Bring your own group of 7
