Longtime Lurker, Relatively New Player?

Hello everyone.

 

I have been playing since February of 2016 (first heard about the game through a commercial for the ARP collaboration and joined because of it). I have been lurking on the forums since around the same time. I am by no means a good player but I come here in hopes of reading everyone's thoughts and opinions and using them to better my understanding of the game and its mechanics. Now that I have gotten through the "rush your way to tier 10" phase and have discovered stats, I now strive to better myself by playing smarter and trying harder to win rather than just grind through the tiers.

 

Not too social a person, hence why I have not posted before, but since talking with some of the more prominent forumites/CC's, I have decided the forum may be a good resource (just do not expect me to be too vocal unless I have a question or possibly know an answer). If you see my in game, though, feel free to say hello (and if I do something stupid, do not go too hard on me).

 

If anyone is interested, though, the clan my friend and I run (-TNG-, Toast National Guard) is always looking for new guys to play with. We are not a "stat-based" group, we instead just like to get guys together to have fun and hopefully one day be competitive enough to play against other clans. If interested, find us in game or message me.

I have been watching a few of the more famous youtubers, both in the name of strategy and general enjoyment. Sometimes I wish for a little less talking out of some of them, but I understand they need to talk to give their opinions on ships as well as get their point across.
