I have uninstalled and reinstalled this game 4 times and get this error every time. each time I have done a full reg cleanup. Even made sure nothing was left behind in program data and appdata. Also i have made sure Windows is full update (using Windows 10) and my graphic drivers are update. Even tried rolling them back for one of the installs. below is a screenshot of the error. I even tried running a check and repair. Still same issue. I have played this game in the past and have had no issues. Nothing has changed on my computer since then.

Good day Thornwolf,

Thank you for contacting Wargaming Support!

I understand that you are having issues with the game. Rest assured, I am glad to assist you with this. Below we have included a download link to our WG Check tool. This diagnostic tool can be used for World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes.

WGCheck Tool

Once you have downloaded it, open the zip file and run the

WGCheck.exe. After it has launched, please select the World of Tanks icon and locate its directory. The default location is C:\Games\World_of_Tanks.

- Check the box that labeled, Add game client to the firewall exceptions
- Check the box that labeled, Extended network diagnostics
- Start the integrity check by selecting the orange Start Diagnostics button

Be patient, it will take some time to finish.

Finally, please send us the WGCheck log that generates after the program has completed its check.

We look forward for your next response.

Best Regards,

Isaac Mace

Hi Thornwolf,

Thank you for your reply.

We would like you to perform the following steps to ensure a complete reset of your network connection.

Close all open programs (a reboot will be necessary)

  • Press Start Button (to open start menu) - [On older systems, click Run]
  • Type CMD and hold the left CTRL and Shift buttons at the same time
  • Press Enter
  • Release left 2 buttons

(Another way to complete these steps are to open your START menu, select All Programs, select Accessories, and right click on Command Prompt. Then select Run as Administrator)

You are now in an authorized shell, with a black DOS-looking box open

  • Enter the following commands one at a time pressing Enter after each one:

ipconfig /flushdns

arp -d * netsh int ip reset c:\log.txt netsh winsock reset shutdown -r -t 0

We would also like you to power cycle you network equipment such as your router or modem.

  1. Turn off and unplug all of your network devices. (modem and or network switches/routers) - and if they have a battery, please take them out.
  2. Turn off your computer.
  3. Leave them all off for 30-40 seconds.
  4. Turn them all back on and give them a few minutes to initialize.
  5. Clear your internet browser cache.

Best Regards,

Haylee Halvorson

I tried this twice, both times getting the same error. I then took my PC over to neighbors house whom plays this game on his network with no issue. However, he is running Windows 7, where I have Windows 10. Completed all the same steps at this house, and still got same error.

Can you put a screenshot of the error message in your post as that may help some of the resident computer experts to better help you.

Did you ever solve this Thornwolf?  I am having the same issue and getting the same run around from support with no fix.  This is a fresh install of Windows 10 and World of warships both residing on a brand new solid state drive.  I'm using a 1080 GTX with 32 gigs of RAM.  I've reinstalled the game multiple times deleted the prefs file about 10 times. Re-installed Nvidia drivers multiple times using the clean install option and also uninstalling from control panel rebooting then installing the drivers  Still no solution.  Any time I try to change the resolution in the game it crashes with the "A Critical Error Has Occurred"  All my other games work fine and I play multiple MMO's and FPS games with heavy graphics requirements with no issues.
