You get credits for each badge. Just think of it as credits instead of a badge that comes out of the container.

When you open the container the flag/camo and two 10k credit icons will pop up in the bottom right of your screen.

It does. You'll see "DUPLICATE" on the badge in the container screen, and then in the lower right it'll show 10k credits added instead of the duplicate badge. It's always done this.
