All I have ever heard about it was not good... an ugly thing to have to sail... however, I have also found that ships that get a bad rap and review are not necessarily bad ships. The KrispyKreme is certainly a challenge to play, but it is not impossible to do well in... like all ships, it depends on the captain....... a good captain can make a mediocre ship a good ship.

I drop a good captain in it once in awhile and enjoy it reasonably well. I notice I average less damage than with my Svietlana, but youre a tier higher and cant just troll around pewpewing your Russian 130mm funcannons, you must play much more discreetly than in Svietlana. A benefit is that you don't get focused much, people in a tier 7 match just laugh and shoot at the Yorck instead.

Can hold her own at tier V, unfortunately she's really struggling vs higher tiers, not bad vs DDs and if you had enough and decide on a suicide run those torps will put a NY class BB away pronto.

Captain Skills man. I got one in a crate tricked it out. Put a 17pt captain with AFT and Demo Exp and said FTW and did just under 60k damage in her. What really happened was I got it had been playing random and forgot after I decked it out to change the setting to Co-op cause XP is XP. Anyhow I was frantically trying to hit cancel, I mean I'm mashing down on the left click button like you wouldn't believe. The one time my computer decides to load fast is this time really computer? Anyhow I had a high point Captain where I I could do to Cleveland's what I did to Tier IV BB' in the Bogatyr. Kite and troll, Kite and Troll. 58k pretty easily but then later BB deleted me. Point being you need the right captain skills to bring out what it can do best with it's limited survivability. No I will never take it into randoms again.

Hmmm.  I've got 126 kills in mine.  I wouldn't call it a GOOD ship, but it does score kills when underestimated.

 

My best game was 140k damage.

Meh. People say it's a crap ship, but on the hands of a good user, it may provide for some fun games I guess. I hear it has long range, so it can probably do OK with burning ships and being underestimated/left-alone and such.

I got one from an SC during the Southern Dragon Myoko campaign, which was nice since I had no russian ships with which to do it. Only played it for that event, and haven't touched it since. Don't remember it being especially bad, but nothing stands out about it. It's better than the Emerald I guess.

Well, you have to make an effort to be worse than some of the early Brit CLs. I just used free xp to get to Leander, which I disliked at first, but I eventually clued in on how to play it and now it's one I plan to keep. Using the Minotaur on the test server a couple times also helped.

A captain no matter how skilled can't change the qualities inherent to a vessel, a captain cannot transform a bad ship into a good ship.   A captain can however make a bad ship PERFORM well.

I have a kraken in mine. I can confirm out is the greatest salt farming tool you can get.

Guys guys guys! You are looking at it all wrong. Krasny Krim is there to prove that there is no Russian bias because they put out a Russian ship so bad, that it shows, that not everything Russian is made from Stalinium, destroys all in it's path, and proves there are bad Russian ships.

 

Nothing more than a token gesture so if people start screaming Russian bias, they can point at the KK and tell them "you were saying?"

I've had some fantastic games in the KK, she is a really good ship if you stick a RU DD captain in her.

Is Krasny Krym a troll ship? Well WG trolled us by putting her in the game instead of her half-sister Krazny Kavkaz.

 

 

As for Krasny Krym herself, if she's going to T5 then buff her ROF (the historical maximum would be 8 RPM) and give her Gremyashchy's 8km torps.

Before the last range buff, she was essentially a Svietlana with BFT and AFT already baked in.  Now they have boosted the range a bit, so that's not /quite/ the case anymore.  I enjoy playing the ship when it's not down two tiers.  When top tier, she's a lot of fun.

I use mine for the rare COOP events that eventually require a random.  Yup, it's the ship I pick for that random.  Usually folks ignore it (easy kill later) because they don't view it as a threat.  That's led to some pretty interesting games where the other team pretty much let me wander around them and kill their carrier.

She's basically a Svetlana with pretty darn good AA....Yeah, she's a tad slow (even w/ the speed boost flag), but she kills DD's just fine  ....even tier 7 DD's (a bit more work...lol    ). Just love the AA on her and I work it to the max.
