Some people say that they can't get the Hoods guns to perform well.. I will admit that they do take a little bit more skill than typical battleship guns to get the desired penetration, however good results can be had with them!

Hood captains post your highest damage games in this beast.

 

Mine had been 170k. I'm going on vacation now and will be away from the Hood for about 5 days.

 

 

In this battle an enemy carrier decided to test my AA and sent all their planes at me. All of their dive bombers and torpedo bombers melted in a matter of seconds to my defensive fire and I am not AA specced at all, it was disgustingly effective, they did send the fighters at me single file but I shot down about 3 fighters or bombers a second with my defensive AA burst.

 

Next cornered a Cleveland and one shot him, which angered most of the reds including a Scharnhorst, New York, and Hood which proceeded to chase me back towards my base. I exchanged shots and managed to two volley finish a Graf Spee in my retreat.

 

With support of my carrier and rest of the fleet we managed to push back while shelling the enemy battleships. At one point I saw an enemy cv light the New York on fire so I switched to HE rounds and started a fire on him after he used his damage control party..

 

The final bit of damage came in when we a enemy carrier and I got a nice 20k salvo on her, second salvo I split damage between a New Mexico and finishing off the carrier. It was a very good game all in all.

 

Kind of a steam roll, but not a total one. We had about five ships left in the end of the match. I didn't pay attention to my sunk allies... Sorry guys.
