Is this against the TOS?

Tell someone to go kill themself...yeah, I reported in-game. Which does nothing I'm sure.

Question: is this against the TOS and would this screen shot be used to deal with someone like this? It's a tiny sampling of this guy's savage salt, unfortunately it's all that I could get.

Ticket with screenshot.. or sometimes PM info to a red here sometimes works.

I'm from America and I say m8. Online only, I'd sound weird saying that IRL... but still. Take that, angry salt-man.

Guys, I know it's the Internet. I've been on it for awhile. This is literally the first time in years of playing WoT and WoWs that I've actually decided to Report somebody in this manner. I'm simply asking for the best way to go about it. I'll submit it and move on. I've got better things to do than worry about some vulgar twist (like my laundry).

Yeah support tickets are your best bet. Give them all the evidence you've got. They will look at the situation and will deal with everyone involved who needs to be dealt with.

yeah, i'm fairly certain there's a section in the TOS devoted to that kind of thing. submit a support ticket, and they'll sort it out.

important advice though; after you submit the ticket, just forget the entire situation. don't let it bother you any further. block the guy and move on. nothing good comes from dwelling on these things.

Thank you both, Ticket is submitted and laundry continues to be folded.

Death threats are serious and ticketable offenses.

For a minute I thought I was on WoT again...the salt was being delivered in 50 lb blocks and at impressive frequency!

just right click his name in the chat box and add him to your blacklist. He can't talk to you ever again and will likely never be in another match with you.

I think you  folks need to grow some thicker skin .....

Whether or not we're offended by it doesn't change the fact that it's against the rules.

Talon, I appreciate your and advice and I've done all of that already.

Seriously, it's done and over with now. My sole purpose for submitting a ticket is keep WoWs from degenerating into WoT.

I'm not going to lose sleep over this guy, trust me.

It's funny you mention that. I would have thought that if the initiator had thicker skin, he would have quietly and internally dealt with whatever caused him to lose his crap.

But, since he wants to wear his heart on his sleeve and single me out, I'll bait him until he has enough rope to hang himself, then report him, with lots of evidence, chuckling the whole time.

It's not thin skin that makes me report, it's a malicious sense of humour coupled with opportunity. Like taking the guy who drank so much he's bouncing off walls, and spinning him around rapidly several times.

Such goes the Internet, and again, people with "thin skins" only end up displaying them because somebody else with thin skin spouted off.

Somebody kept calling me a dirty foreigner and tasteless things when I said m8. May have been the same guy.

In the United States saying " Go Kill yourself" is not a crime even if the person who the recieved that message does commit suicide.  Now if someone says " I'm going to kill you" is considered a threat and a crime in the USA.

Now the TOS of any company can ban users who write these threats as it is their right to do so for the "Go kill yourself" statement but if the other statement of "I'm going to kill you" persists then the company in itself becomes

responsibile as now they are responsible for content and especially if they have been notified of this circumstance. They must make a reasonable action to stop those posting else they become part of the problem.

Few months back I had the same thing happen to me. This guys language was bad enough that other players were telling me to report him and a couple others did. Now, I'm a 22-yr Vet and have heard and said some things to get certain people to "square up", and this guy was giving me pause. Like bar fight material. But when a guy invades your "port" to continue it, that crosses a line in my book. I made a ticket with game time, guys name and a general description of the language. This is supposed to be fun for all and if you can't keep your cool then it's time to go to a bar and find release. JMO
