Hunt for Bismarck Campaign

I like the campaign and it opens the door for more, but...

 

Don't they have it backwards? Shouldn't players with the Bismarck get extra bonuses (since they grinded to it), and the final prize should be the Hood? Put the Tirpitz in the bonus packages and give it a slightly worse bonus than having Bismarck.

 

Sad part is that 99% of the ships used in the actual hunt for Bismarck are not in game.

Its all about the money. They make money by giving special task to Hood captains, not by giving away the Hood for free.  Bismark is already a free ship in the tech tree so they are not losing any cash on that one. Would be cool if they gave some kinda special task for Bismark owners (or those of us who already purchased the Bismark premium camo)

With the British BB line coming and the DD line sure to follow (rumored a premium already for testing HMS Gallant) - I am sure that the majority of the classes will be represented.

The premium coming(HMS Gallant) is not rumored. She's been confirmed and officially announced by WG and posted all over their social media sites.

Sympathize with this sentiment, but I think it's just a matter of priority and time before you see a number of the participants in the game including at least some of the following:

 

King George V (flagship of the force which eventually sank the Bismark) - WG has to be evaluating a British BB line where this should appear either in-game (if I had to speculate, the KG V is the tech-tree ship, the Prince of Wales the Premium?)

 

Prince of Wales (KG V class BB - unfortunately still working out bugs in construction when forced to engage in battle against the Bismarck w/ the Hood)

 

Suffolk/Norfolk (2 shadowing County Class radar heavy cruisers) - if WG does a British Cruiser line split offering heavy cruisers, I would think these would be represented

 

Dorsetshire (Sister to the Norfolk - County sub-class Cruiser that was assigned to torp the Bismarck to attempt to sink her after she was a wrecked hulk)

 

Ark Royal (Force H CV that launched the TB strike that crippled Bismarck's rudder) - I would be curious if WG puts out a British CV line - the British were pioneers in CV development and in WWII had CVs w/ innovations such as armored flight decks, but there would be a serious game balance issue here because historically, the planes on British CVs were somewhat antiquated or obsolescent for WWII.

 

British DDs (involved in night torpedo attacks on the Bismarck after it's steering had been jammed) - This is a decent candidate for future DD lines, though many navies offered this class of ship so I can't speculate where this falls in the priority queue.  The upcoming premium British DD is a tie-in with the soon-to-be released Dunkirk movie.

 

Of course, there are representatives of the ship classes (or inspirations) in the game if not the specific ships

 

Izumo (IJN paper design which was based on the British Nelson Class of which HMS Rodney was one and was one of the pursuing BBs along w/ the KG V - of course, if the Rodney were in-game, there might be a player reaction similar to how many feel about the Izumo - so well....)

 

Belfast/Edinburgh - These were the last of the Town Class Cruisers (in it's own sub-class the Edinburgh class) - the Sheffield (Town Class Cruiser involved in the infamous mistaken identity torpedo attack by the Swordfish thinking it was the Bismarck was one of the 1st run of the Town Class Cuisers).

Tirpitz should have been the tech tree ship, with Bismarck the Premium. Then it would have made more sense to offer Hood for sale and offer a year old previously sold Premium for the free reward for completing the campaign.
