What are your guys' thoughts on how WG is selling containers that have crests for the Bismarck hunt campaign in the premium shop?

ROFL!

WG has hit on the perfect event!

Da comrade!

Lots of money to fund the making of more russianbias paper ships

When I told my father about how WG makes money, he got a businessgasm and burst out saying something like, "oh, they deserve so much money."

I feel the flags & cammos you get are better than the crests, but the containers are priced VERY high for my taste.

Russian battleships and aircraft carriers don't come cheap.

Way too high! For the same price of the x55, you can get the Hood's Ultimate package which includes 50x of each flag + the Hood (which will provide 7 premium crates through the campaign). WG is simply trolling everyone, lol

Yeah, I find it kind of disguising how they are trying to milk this event for all it is worth.

"Want to do some extra, easier tasks to earn your Bismarck and flags faster with the hood?  Well the only way you can get it is through a very expensive package."

"Having trouble finishing the event?  Come down to WG HQ and purchase some containers that have crests for the event.  Or you can just pay us lots of money and you won't even have to do the event in the first place."

Takes a lot of money to bribe government officials into giving WG those blueprints and designs.

of course it's too high. But I think you underestimate the need of some people to complete events. (At any cost) :B

I was planning on buying the bundle.

Mainly for those flags.

I bought the ONE TIME ONLY, (1) Container at the special price of ($.99). I got 1 of the 24 medals, (5) camo skins and (7) of the Ourboros Flags 777% Free Xp. I'll have the opportunity to start playing the Campaign this evening. From a marketing stand point, it's brilliant! Others are free to disagree should their opinion differ. In the end, who cares!

Other players might purchase in the event they aren't able to obtain all 24 through the Campaign. For myself, I won't rule out possibly purchasing additional ones towards the end of the event. Time will tell. Regardless, hope all enjoy the Hunt!

(edit: flag was noted incorrectly)

I was going to ask what they contained; not interested if its exactly the same as the crates you can earn from completing campaign tasks...

A part of me was hoping for something like the Santa crates... will have to wait until next Christmas

OK, they provide a lot of camo and special flags, these containers don't seem that bad now, I just thought it was only 1 flag or camo like the event containers I got on the test server.

Still though, kinda annoying how you can just use money to complete the campaign rather than playing the game.

WG is playing to the player base. Clearly there's a market for it, and WG can use the money.

I'm sure a few players will take it as a insult, but this is where the game is headed, either grind or pay for that parts you don't want to grind.

And with the containers, you can tailor your progress speed to what you want to pay.

I don't mind the concept of paying to speed things up when it's not all or nothing.

Yeah :/

Honestly, I don't think I would feel as bad if they removed the crests and replaced them with a little more camo/flags, making them kind of like santa containers.  I just don't like the grind/pay instead direction.  I have it in my head that events should be fun things to engage the community where you can earn rewards too, rather than grind, pay, or ignore it type of things.

Doesn't bother me, they are providing a choice the players seem to want, if proving the choice makes them more money, and they actually re-invest it in the game, it's a positive.

But no matter what happens in a game, some feathers will be ruffled, just the nature of the beast.

Well, I think it's fine. The standard containers you earn give you more badges, the ones you buy and earn in the Hood tasks give you more flags and camos. Sounds fine to me.

Yeah, I just had to much salt in the water I drank this morning.  I kind of overreacted, though I'm still a bit annoyed.

Perhaps more people will purchase that one time container and report their results. I'm out $1 because I was curious. I can understand your perspective on people possibly choosing to spend money to assist in the completion of their Hunt for the Bismark Campaign, but what I don't understand, is why people become so concerned about how others choose to spend their own disposable income, in-game or real life.

To put into perspective: I could purchase the Hood Bundle and simply supplement not buying a few of boxes of ammo and go shooting over a weekend. I could also choose not to spend the $13 dollars a week on the 1 day I eat out for lunch to help offset the cost. The thing is, it doesn't need to be justified by anyone for doing so. Besides, the Hood over time would become a much wiser investment for the money, since ammo is very short lived and food passes even faster than that!   LOL

It isn't so much how people spend their money, but how WG tries to get me to spend my money.  I don't like the way it seems like they set this event up to take as much of my money as possible, rather than making the event a way for me to have more fun in this game, therefore making me more likely to spend money.

I completely feel you. The Spee event is fresh in my mind with how it was structured. Now the Bismark is the same. You don't want to miss out and/ but you don't want to give in...sigh...

Then again, I could actually do co-op as well and not have to Random only battle for the campaign and prizes.

It's all good. Cheers!
