No, not really, stop your russian comments. It's just a clickbait title.

If you play this game with music on, you'll recognise the following track:

The melody from 18 seconds on sounded familiar to me. It took me a while to remember where I heard it before:

Bots - Zeven Dagen Lang (Wat zullen we drinken), a modest 1977 hit from Dutch left-wing rock / folk band Bots.

It's not their melody originally, but their version is still the one I heard first. It was originally written in 1929, under the title Son Ar Chistr, also known as Ev Chistr ’ta Laou. Yes, I know, thats also what the WoWS OST track is called so I 'should've known', but it's not like WoWS gives the track titles while you're playing the game.

This melody has been recorded many times by many artists. During my binge in listening to many versions of this melody and this song, I came across this performance:

Yes, that is in fact legendary metal guitarist Ritchie Blackmore on the axe. Yes, he's mellowed down over the years.

While listening a certain lyric stood out to me:

 We'll fight together
And when we fight we'll fight together, not alone!
We'll fight together
And when we fight we'll fight together, not alone!
All For One, and One For All!
We'll fight together
And when we fight we'll fight together, not alone!

Got it, person who likes to drive off on his own and then complain about bad teams when he's the first sunk?

We'll fight together. Not alone. Stop going off on lone adventures outside the support of your team!

Hmmm. Maybe some communist tendencies to the song after all ...

if it was intended

Probably not. It's probably just because the composer for WG liked the melody and it was public domain so he was allowed to use it without needing to pay royalties. I mean, they've done it before:

Ok, very confused on what exactly you're trying to say but the song originally was from Britain...

Not sure how you concluded it was from Russia.

No, it's from Bretagne in France.

Not sure how you concluded it was from Russia.

I never claimed that? How did you come to that conclusion?

May I have the source?

I came to that conclusion based on your title.

-snip1-

-snip2-

I can understand why they used the track, it sure is good. One of the better ones if you were to ask me.

And unlike the origin of this soundtrack Polyushko Polye has some relations to a war, even if it wasn't a military march like Katyusha.

You have to realize good sir that Communists existed and do exist in far more than just Russia.

Ok. The song was written in Brittany. Brittany = Bretagne, not Britain.

I came to that conclusion based on your title.

Wow. That's a huge leap right there. I mean, just - ... Wow. I've seen some leaps of logic before, but that one impressed me.

WoT has also used the Volga Boatmen:

Personally, I'm all for them using old folk melodies and military marches and updating them.
