I started a topic elsewhere about aesthetics, thinking it would provoke some comment.

The topic was entitled "Which is ugliest?"

But I was all wrong about aesthetics, my people.

I thought about is some more and laughed.

So I'm starting this one too to provoke even more comment on the matter.

I'm talking about apperances here, brothers and sisters, and nothing else.

Thanks for voting and have fun with it.

Yours, commodore_torakula.

I think the prettiest of the list is the Scharnhorst, followed by the Gneisenau. But the Yamato is my overall #1.

The Germans knew how to build some goodlooking ships.

Also, second poll question needs a 'no' answer.

Unless you add Prinz Eugen to the list I refuse to vote, are you trying to leave the best ones out?

ME! I'M THE PRETTIEST!

Well put, Jimmy. ...too bad I've been aboard the Midway, the Iowa, and the Missouri...i'd hate to be a real plankowner at a time like this...wouldn't you?

Hadn't thought about that either.  My bad.

Nope...with respect to aesthtetics i want everyone and anyone to vote as they please.  With respect to history, I do not mean to offend anyone here.

thanx again for pointing that out, Lert.  i removed the question about being a plankowner.   What you say made me feel bad about having made that a voting choice.

I got to visit the USS Wisconsin here in Norfolk, so I'm partial to the Iowa class. Missouri it is for me though, she's gorgeous in that blue camo.

You leave the prettiest ships of them all out, that is a crime

American battleships are defiantly the best looking. Japanese battleships look kind of ugly with the strangely shaped superstructure.

I think the more modern battleships particularly the Iowa sisters are gorgeous looking

There will probably be much contention over which ship in the game is prettiest, I voted Missouri, but I think everyone can agree Izumo is the ugliest by a country mile.
