19 point captains - How many you got so far?

     With the introduction of elite captain exp getting 19 pt capts have been easier to get and a enjoyable playing scheme, excellent adition in the game for sure, the ships we play the most just increase the EC-EXP pool and for any new capt we just throw in points without starting from 1-3 pts as before.

 

   I curently have 8   19 pt capts, with 2 more being 18 pointers.

So I can rack up elite commander XP pretty quickly.  Leveling captains is such a breeze now.

You will be surprised how many people level up their commanders this way.

I have only 2 one dedicated Dunkerque commander, whom I work hard with sweat and tears to get him fully maxed out and a dedicated Montana commander whom a third of his skill points was pumped up by commander experience points.

With the free Commander XP its now possible for a non-paying player to convert Captains between ships without the utterly ludicrous retraining XP period for higher tier Captains.

This was the biggest paywall I've ever seen in a WG game.

 

Me I've still only got the 1* 19pt: my original Gremmy Captain, really should push to get a couple more so that I can store up more Commander XP quicker.

 AND you need to have the ship exp stored in elite ships or premiums in top of that too.

I've been able to accrue enough elite captain XP to start my Duca D'Aosta and Perth with 12 point captains. I appreciate WG's method to earn additional captain experience.

that is weird, i thought the opposite. with this i don't even have to spend gold to retrain/ reset a commander. not to mention moving my 19 pt commanders around in various prems with the proper camo and flags can generate 10-25k capt exp per match.

  and now all the exp is not simply wasted  after the 19th point.  

are you suggesting people convert exp into ELITE ?  (i was not even aware there is a button for that lol )

You can use Free XP as a substitute for Elite commander XP.

Highest I've got is a 14 point commander.  I'm sure I could get it up there but that's too much money for me.

Amazingly I have none so far. Oddly enough, for some bizarre reason I didn't fully understand how Captain's worked in regards to Premium ships. So I ended up with all these different Captains for all these different ships + my main captain for each line. This slowed my retraining and spread out my points so I didn't end up with most of my points concentrated in my best Captains. I'm 1 1/2 levels away from a 19 point Captain on my Des Moines though and I'm really excited about it.

Run all signals that boost "any" xp, run Commander xp camo, and the military month flag if you have one with premium account.

 

I pull in average of 10k per battle. Low ball is around 6k and highest is 20k's.

Moskva, Khab, Grozovoi, Kutozov, Gremy, Nikolai, Montana, DM, Gearing, Midway, North Carolina, Missouri, Yamato, Zao, Akizuki, GK, Bismarck, Hindenburg, Minotaur, Warspite, and Belfast all have one.

None. My highest is a 17-pointer on Montana, but I only take him out of port occasionally since I'm focused on grinding other nations right now.

Holy smokes - a few of you have a lot of experienced commanders!

 

I have two nineteen pointers - one for the Gearing/Sims, and one for the GK/Tirpitz.

 

Half a point left on the Khab/Leningrad/Gremy Captain - and a point left on the Murmansk/MK Skipper I've built up in preparation to run up the Soviet cruiser line.

 

The beauty of the system is - the more nineteen pointers you have, the more Skipper XP you have to play with, the more quickly you level up other Skippers - the more Skipper XP you have to play with!

I think my highest are a couple 17 point commanders at the moment. I'm really looking forward to the first one to hit 19 points though for the elite xp gain.
