It seems there has been a lot of debate concerning issues with the new launcher.  However, the proposed solutions and explanations for its errant operation seem to be few and far between or nonexistent.  Also, there appears to be a lack of explanation of why it is so cumbersome, invasive, and destructive (if you have to wipe a pc to fix it that classifies as destructive).  There appears to be an information lock down on this.  Some threads have been locked, others deleted, even though they remained civil and on topic.  Censorship because those in Power don't want to hear the any bad news?   Listening to bug feedback will help fix the product and make it better.  Oh, we know how well that works.

All I gotta say is I'm extremely happy I didn't DL it.

WOWS is my first and last WG product, so it wasnt really needed. :teethhappy:

Haven't had any problems with it, am on Windows 10 and now use one place to access my NA account, my EU account and the PT server and WoT and none of my antivirus or network tools hiccup on it and the memory usage on it is no more than the old launchers so for me no issues.

I only play WoWS as well, so I didn't bother downloading it either.

Suddenly, it seems like a good thing I didn't do it.

Doesnt seem quite as bad as that one eve online release years ago. It bricked people's pcs by deleting the boot sector on the hard drive.

I've been using it for months (beta testing) and have not had any "destructive" behaviors on Win 7 or Win 10. The problems I've seen mentioned in the various forum posts seem to be more a lack of understanding how it works than it being broken. WG would benefit by providing some sort of user guide for it.

Pool of Radiance Myth Drannor would uninstall Windows files when you uninstalled it, rendering Windows inoperable.

Yeah really shocked they deleted threads on this subject. Guess remove peoples comments about how they will not support such a move.

As for the ones that like this new launcher. *Jolly good for you* I choose to stay as far away from it as I can.

I don't want crap running in the background unless I ask it too. I don't want it taking forever to stop when I close it and I sure the hell don't want or need it installed in a hidden directory on my PC.

I am going to have to take a good long look at WG files going forward (Also going to look at what I have at the moment and where it is and what it is on my HD) as I trust them as much as I trust a con-artist.

WG is the last person that will admit to a mistake or bug, even though they are excellent at implementing them...:teethhappy:

It should be taken as a glaring warning sign that something is very much amiss when people react this way to the facts. I'll state again what I told Niko already, if they force this on us, much of the base will walk, due to the issues the launcher has, and how unreal invasive it is. Privacy in an online world is already hard enough to achieve, I refuse to just give it away so I can play a game.
