Major USN/IJN Changes?

Since the German line began to come out, something has been bothering me in the flavor behind those lines.  Not the changes, per se, but more what those changes were.  It became a little more obvious with the RN and French lines.  The national flavors were more subtle and more "radical".  For example, the AP only/Smokey cruisers of the RN or the fast runaway power of the French (Why do you think I have this Caaa-razy accent?).  The germans were even more subtle with the main flavor being the higher penetration values.

This represents an evolution based on the experience and feedback from players and actual game play.  And it got me thinking, what about the first two nations, USN and IJN?  The national flavors are pretty slap in the face obvious.

We've already seen something along the lines of major change (second IJN DD line) and the buff/nerfs are beginning to get rather drastic.  So, I have to wonder, are we going to see a fundamental change in the USN/IJN navies?

I'm not saying they are good or bad, just that I feel a change in the wind.

It does kinda feel like Wargaming is developing new lines to be focused to heavily on the consumables to be the ships play style.

As far as the USN goes, WG last said no major changes until a USN cruiser line split.  Of course, they also mentioned that the split is low priority when the majority of their playerbase has been clamoring for the British, French, and Italians to be out before more lines are split (The IJN DD split and the VMF DD split drew some flak from their own Russian playerbase who wanted RN and MN ships first before any splits).

As far as the IJN goes, nothing until after more lines are released, though they did "deal" with the IJN DD problems with the line split.
